Interesting Mexican casual restaurant. It has a hippish, curated interior design but is not overly done. I expected the food to be an American take on Mexican cuisine, but I found the dishes original in that they are not done in the same manner as many Mexican restaurants in the Triangle. The food was tasty. There is indoor seating and a large, covered, open seating area in the back. Both areas proved enjoyable to eat in. Both areas seem family-friendly, especially the open area....
Food was ok, service was very good however the wooden seats ---- were so uncomfortable that my friends and I had to leave early and not stay for desert and more. 20 or so seat cusitions that they can purchase at any Dollar Store could easily fix that. In the meantime it is simply not a comfortable place to sit and dine.
This place has been either hit or miss for me. The food was outstanding the first time we visited and then less than stellar the 3 visits we had after. We just went recently, and it was definitely better. Service is always outstanding, and the food is served quickly after ordering. I would be willing to wait longer for my food if the quality/taste was consistent every time. Cocktails are also delicious.
