Waitress was not well trained!

Matt Merry

I hadn’t been to Aviator in a while so I figured I would try the new spot. It’s a cool setup and the wings were good, but the waitress let our drinks run out, brought my beer out when I was done with the food, and charged us for their accidental extra side. She even said “I think y’all just got a free side” and continued to charge us for that side. There were flies hovering around the table the entire time, inside, at the farthest table from the door. The fries were room temp and the beer under the “cold beer list” was served at warmer than a beer out of the fridge. It’s a shame because the environments they created are pretty cool. Most of the beer is good, but they could really benefit from a boost in training their servers. The menu does not match what is in their system and the server disagreed with us about it. The POS said one side with 18 wings, but the menu clearly states 2 sides. Won't be back. They don't care about improving their business or providing good service.

*ITS A LONG ONE BUT NEEDS TO BE KNOW * We are from out of town. This place was recommended to me by my brother who lives locally. So my family(me, my husband, and my 8 year old) and my sister’s family went and was sat outside the restaurant. The weather quickly changed and a storm rolled in. We asked our waitress (who was amazing), if we could be moved inside. She said "absolutely, no problem". In the process of moving inside, another waiter got on to her and said "you are going to have to deal with my mom", then told her nobody else could come inside. She was addressed by at least one other staff for letting us go inside. We get inside and there is not one single customer seated inside. The lights inside were flickering like they had an electrical problem. We got seated at a table and the bottom falls out outside and the wind starts blowing really hard. The patio that was slap full of people and dogs for that matter, run inside to get out of the rain. So after our waitress was got onto by more than one of the staff, now your restaurant that you don't want people inside of, is now full of people and dogs (not service dogs). We were still uncertain why our waitress got in trouble for allowing us to move inside. So when we got our checks we asked to speak to the owner or manager. Shortly after letting our waitress know we would like to speak to the manager, one of the boy waiters (managers son), came thru several times and jumped down the stairs right at our table slamming his feet on the floor loudly (almost seemed intentional). Then the same guy and another staff member came back thru behind our table (and more importantly directly behind my 8year old), and loudly on the floor around customers, said "f@$k everybody else". That would be the moment my husband saw red and told those boys they don't need to be talking like that walking behind our kid or any kid. Then like 2 more male staff come out ready to fight (excuse me little skinny red headed boy that looked like my 8 year old could whoop (sit down hunnie) and bigger guy with flat billed hat)). ummmm my husband was just letting the potty mouth boy know he needs to watch how he is talking on the floor with customers and their kids. The manager (The potty mouth boy's mama) finally came to our table to talk and asked if they could speak outside. So my husband and brother-in-law respectfully go outside with her to discuss the issues we had. Meanwhile the 4 staff members that were ready to fight inside when my husband just wanted them to watch their mouth, step outside as well and stared or tried to intimidate, whatever they were trying to do. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL! The excuse was that they weren’t referring to us in their conversation, that they were talking about baseball. I’m sorry, it doesn’t matter what they were talking about, they shouldn’t have been talking that way on the floor around customers in a professional establishment. PERIOD! To say this place is one of the most poorly ran establishments i have ever been to is an understatement. The manager offered to take care of our bill next time if we came back and gave that place another chance. I’ll pass! Never again ✌🏼 Oh almost forgot, my husband said his chicken wings were great. Their ranch sucks- too much green onion. The rest of the food wasn’t anything to write home about.

Actual Brewery is great. Less crowded than the restaurants downtown. We can walk there, which is really nice. We bring our dog & some snacks. The bartenders are really friendly & we appreciate their friendliness to our dog as well.

Great beer. Great place to get a keg for your kegerator. Try the Wide Open Red. It’s the best.

I didn't take pics, I apologize. The brewery is a few miles away from the other restaurants; however, they're going to be moving everything closer to the other restaurants in the new building they're working on (you'll have to check their website for further details). The guys at the brewery were super chill and friendly! We were stuck bringing our children again (the sitter was a no-show), and thankfully, they had no issue with that. The tour was fun and my husband enjoyed the tasting for sure! We did have a Groupon, but that's not necessary to take advantage of the tour and deals they'll give you. Also, if you're not a beer drinker - they have root beer! And I have to say, it's pretty darn good! We all loved it, including the kiddos! I will add I'm not a beer drinker, but the few I tasted were pretty darn good!! So, be open-minded to trying them all out! My husband loved them all.

Shortly after my husband and I were seated, a party of 5-6 was seated near us. For a good portion of the time we were there, we had to listen to one member of their party constantly dropping the F-bomb. We endured it for a good bit but the more they drank the louder he got. At one point, I turned to ask him humorously if he talked like that in front his mother. He replied he did and I responded ‘Bless her heart’ planning to leave it at that. My husband, retired SF soldier who served 30 years asked him to refrain. The young man began to grumble about his rights and how my husband asking him to stop cursing so loudly made him mad, and I attempted to de-escalate the discussion, simply asking him to not be as loud with his f-bombing. His friend then interjected at which time i asked for a manager’s intervention. We were in the process of moving when these young men continued to speak disparagingly to my husband, who responded with harsh words as well. This is what got disappointing - the response of the manager. Instead of redirecting the people who were loudly cursing we were treated as the wrong parties. The associate (thin, long red hair, female)was condescending in her tone and at one point had her hands within six inches of my face. We asked to pay the bill instead of moving seats. When I asked if she would have moved a family with young children in the same situation, she was dismissive, non-commital and condescending in her response. Her tone was sarcastic and disrespectful, and even went so far as to snatch the bill and my card out of my hand, although she denied this. We recognize there is an element of a bar environment at this facility. We have also observed families with children at this location as well. If they are more desirous of supporting clientele at their facility that will have cursing flow through their business, that is definitely their option. If however, they wish to resolve this from a management / supervision perspective, they would need to be aware of it, so we are passing this along. We, however, will not return and will discourage others from the same.

Ernie is top shelf. Great service always and always happy to be doing what he’s doing !Rick does a great job educating everyone on the beers. Get the Super Fortress while it is still around. I think only the brewery has it now. Coin pool table is a great addition. Great spot to chill for a couple hours on Friday/Saturday.

Great beer every time.

Great place to hang around with freshly brewed beer. Choose your 6 beers from light to hard.
