I wanted to see the Museum of the Albemarle and I wasn't expecting any culinary majesty while visiting Elizabeth City. I WAS WRONG! The food at the Cypress Creek Grill is at least a six! There is a chef back there! Linda and I were late for lunch and early for dinner, so oft times one doesn't expect too much. Let me tell you, Linda's Sea Scallops were sensational, and my New Orleans Barbequed Shrimp was prime delish. The homemade yeast rolls were superb as dipsters in the tangy sauce for the shrimp. The salads were fresh and zesty, and the clam chowder, you must try! Not that familiar with Elizabeth City, we could see the water from this nice eatery, but the service and the food was exemplary.

As a truck driver it’s hard to find places to park , I called in and food was ready when I arrived, smiling faces upon arrival food was delicious and what I ordered , I love breakfast and could eat it 24/7

Always a good spot to grab lunch. Good prices and great food. Haven’t been for dinner but lunch is laid back and mellow most times. Our server was friendly and made sure we were taken care of

We went in for my birthday because I typically order the lobster ravioli with crab & asparagus and have LOVED it in the past. We ordered the SOB appetizer- it was wonderful. Service was slow & there weren’t many patrons in the restaurant. There appeared to be plenty of waitstaff working. My salad was delivered about 4 minutes before my main dish & the salad was lackluster at best. Lettuce mix, one cherry tomato, 2 thin cucumber slices & 2 small rings of onion. Unfortunately this visit I was very disappointed in the lobster ravioli. The dish looked good, however to say it was disappointing was an understatement. The crab on top did not taste fresh and was not the lump white crabmeat I remembered from before. It looked & tasted like canned claw meat at best. The sauce had little taste, the asparagus was fine, but the ravioli didn’t taste fresh like it did before. I have had this dish multiple times and this was the first time I just didn’t care for it. Not sure if they are substituting lower cost ingredients or cutting corners, but I won’t order it again. Hubby enjoyed his oyster po’boy, but given how substandard my dinner was it is doubtful we will return soon.

Don’t get mushrooms on the salad! I ordered one of the specials and it came with a salad. I asked that they not put onions on the salad I but I was fine with the mushrooms and other ingredients. I was beyond horrified when I saw the most disgustingly filthy mushrooms in the salad. They were covered with dirt and there was obviously no attempt to clean them. I really wanted to send it back , but we were sitting there for so long, I figured that it would just further delay my meal.

We had a late lunch a few weeks ago. Our first time there. I ordered fried Shrimp, the breading on shrimp didn't stay on the shrimp which gave me a good look of the freeze burn shrimp I was given. Shrimp had no taste and just seeing the freeze burn wasn't the best. Waitress never came by so I cut around. Cost was $19.99 was a waste of money. My husband has to run her down for the bill. All in all experience was very poor. We drove about one hour and half so was very. disappointing. Right by the water and frozen shrimp. Wow!

Took my graduating Coast Guard son and GF because of the rating. the décor and appearance was more like Mel's Diner type, nothing like you'd expect a #3 rated restaurant to be The appetizer of crab dip needed salt badly. He ordered a ribeye steak, she and I split the Rockfish, Bacon Wrapped Scallop & Shrimp Combo. The rockfish tasted like a fillet that had been left in a cooler for 3 days, very fishy smelling/tasting and tough. The scallops were watery and the baked potato tasted boiled. The ribeye had no salt or seasoning, very bland. very disappointed - Wendy's $5 biggie bag would have been better

One of our favorite places to eat. We always get the crab dip. We have never had a bad steak there and the salads are great.

Everything was just off tonight. Based on reviews - we chose this place. Not a good night for staff. We seemed to be invisible for the first 10 minutes - no one even acknowledged us. Food was okay - crab cakes were touted as cakes with little breading - I think they were almost all bread. Timing of food delivery to table was off as well. Sorry, must of been a bad day to stop in.

We were seated immediately, hostess was pleasant and server arrived to take our drink and appetizer order quickly. Crab and Srimp dip was good, could have used a little bit of cayenne or red pepper. Our entrees were amazing, hubby got bourbon ribeye and he said it was phenomenal. I ordered the bacon wrapped scallops and crab cakes, they were amazing. Our other party guest got a different seafood platter with Sweet potato fries and was also very pleased. Service was on point and an overall pleasant dinner and experience.
