Best buffet EVER. can't wait to go back when this pandemic is over. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The line is a tad confusing going in, but other than that, the service is excellent, teh food is exceptional and the quality is extraordinary. In other words, it's damn extra and it's lit. LOVE the dumplings, fried chicken, fish and macaroni.

I’m not huge on buffets, but I’d definitely come back to Grandson’s. I’d heard a lot about this place from several different people, so I decided to try it with one of them for lunch on a Monday. They have specials several days a week, but Monday isn’t one of them. The prices are great for an all-you-can-eat, $8.99 per person for lunch, drink not included. Mostly everyone who works there is friendly and it’s very well kept. You have to wait to be seated, and your entire party must be present for you to be seated. I tried a lot of different dishes, there are so many options for every course. I enjoyed almost everything I tasted. The meat in the vegetable beef stew was a little weird, but the stew was so flavorful I had 2 servings. It’s well worth the price and more. You definitely need to bring your appetite!

The chicken salad was awful. It was runny & creamy. The Macaroni and cheese had a funny taste. The mashed potatoes tasted funny & was very thick. My chicken nuggets had a funny texture like they may not have been cooked all the way. I had to spit a few out. My first time trying this location. I will drive an extra 20-30 minutes to the Smithfield location. This one is not for me. The customer service was awesome but the food was gross.

Everything food was great service pricing. There is nothing bad about this place. Wish they were in Kentucky

We took my grandmother here today for her birthday. The host a short brown skin lady with a short 27 piece hair weave, took us to a back room away from everyone. The room was completely empty and was freezing, she sat us at a window as well, smh. I told her would would like to sit someone else warm and she proceeded to say, it will warm up I’m here as soon as more people come. We went ahead and made our first plate, but requested we be moved before we fixed another plate because it was too cold. She said well I don’t know where i can put a party of 5. There were several 6 seated tables available. This lady was more worried about making sure the servers had an even number of table rather than us being warm. She was so extra, walking around saying Lord this and Oh Lord that. She just made the experience bad! Food was okay, sweet tea was good.

I am disappointed. I have been here a few times before, and it's been a treat because of how far we drive to get here. As I go to gather my regular faves, I notice that things look to have been on the bar for a while... and sure as ever.. the yams were hard as rocks. My son dived into his regulars, but as far as my first plate, I could only manage to get down an undersized fried chicken thigh. I heard the call for more sweet potatoes and macaroni, so I waited. 2nd pass on sweet potatoes tasted like they had come straight out of a Bruce's Yams can. Cabbage and macaroni were flavorless, and the second piece of chicken, was undone on the inside. Did I say anything to management? Initially I spoke with a Human Resources manager who was on site, to compliment one of their employees, whom I look for at each visit (Hey Georgia!!) and she was extremely lackadaisical about my POSITIVE remark, so that pretty much let me know where anything negative would stand with her. There is no official front of house management-- and I foresee Grandsons closing their doors before the conclusion of Spring if the inspection grade doesn't go up, and they don't lay some seasoning down... on the food.
