MoonRunners Saloon - North Garner

My brother and I went to Moonrunners Dunn over the weekend, we sat at the bar and was greeted by a warm welcome by Jessica. From the time we arrived until the time I left and returned (yes I went back the same day) we had a great time. Jessica was very friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks they offered and served us some amazing drinks and food. We really enjoyed her and the great atmosphere she brung to the restaurant, we will be back very soon.

Miranda was AMAZING!!! Super BUBBLY personality, quick, very efficient and catered to our large party as well as others around us. Not a cup went empty, quick delivery of entrees and appetizers! Miranda definitely cares about the people she is serving. We will definitely be back! Ask for Miranda, you won't regret it!!!

Miranda was absolutely phenomenal! She went above and beyond to take care of us and even remembered our names, which made the experience feel incredibly personal and welcoming. The food? Hands down the best I’ve had in a long time! I’m from Fayetteville, but I’ll gladly make the drive to Dunn again just to experience this level of service and hospitality. Moonrunners is worth every mile!

It was an amazing experience. They were accommodating with our special needs child. Also, the food was other worldly. I can’t believe they made a sirloin as soft as a filet mignon! It was melt in my mouth tender with every bite. The peach bbq sauce on these fall off the bone ribs were chefs kiss. And my husband doesn’t eat vegetables and finished the entire bowl of collards!!! I have been bragging about those collards for YEARS. We haven’t been since they moved to this new location but it’s soo much closer to our house. Which means we will be coming back WAY more often. Thank you so much for the experience. I wish I could tip the chef because they put their foot in it!

First time at the Dunn location and everything was fabulous!! Our server Courtney was so sweet and did a fantastic job!! We definitely will be visiting frequently!

The new moonrunners on technology dr. At 40/42 is fantastic. Chris always makes sure everything is right and the staff is very good. Everyone needs to try the fried green beans with the special Wasabi dipping sauce. Thanks again for a great supper. Felix and Marti Kerr.

I am so mad we waited so long to go here. we will back many times if those visits are as good as our first. the drinks were the very best ive ever had and the food was perfection. they have the best onion rings I ever had in my life. moon runners is now a top option for us. this place is just fantastic.

We love Moonrunners! You can’t make a mistake with anything on the menu. It’s all delicious. Michael is the best server! We always hope he’s there/our waiter. He’s so nice and attentive. But we’ve never had bad service from anyone there.

I Was excited to try this restaurant after seeing it on Bar Rescue, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The food was disappointing, lacked flavor, and the presentation was uninspired, so I didn’t even bother taking pictures. The service also left much to be desired. Despite having few patrons, a dirty table behind us was left uncleared for over an hour, and our own dishes weren’t removed after we finished eating. It seems this place may need another Bar Rescue to get back on track.

Had dinner on a Tuesday, not a busy night. Food took 30 plus minutes to begin to arrive to the table. 4 kids meals, wings and a burger. One kids meal came out a dull 5 minutes after all other food arrived.

All food was lacking in flavor and dry. Habenero wings were not spicy, jerk chicken was more like a dry version of smithfields chicken.

All the kids age 10, 10, 8, 6 All said they didn't want to come back, they had to smother with ketchup to eat.

Server was kind, respectful and present.

We will not be back.

Thought this would be a better choice based on reviews. Catfish was chewy. Fries were good. My son got a burger and said his was good. Service however SUCKED. Table behind us asked for a to-go cup of water for a child, but never got it. Our server LEFT after asking if we were ready for the check. She never came back. Waited 10 minutes before someone bothered to acknowledge that we were sitting there waiting.

I will NOT be back. Sticking to Kickback Jacks. At least they pay attention.
