Overall I really love my Slateplate! I love that it is locally made and really makes an impact when you put it out for a party. My main issue with it is as cheese sits on it it starts to get some of the slate plate imprinted on the cheese. My husband had asked if the cheese was moldy, but since I had just purchased and cut it up I knew that couldn't be true. At closer inspection it was clearly the grey/black color of the slate. Maybe that stops happening after multiple washes? Maybe I didn't give it a good enough first scrub? Not sure, but as long as that doesn't continue to happen I see myself putting out this Slateplate at pretty much every party I host! It even comes with a little piece of chalk that you can use to label all your charcuterie items on the plate.

LOVE my slate plates! they are great when entertaining so i can simply write with chalk on them what kinds of cheeses and such are there... have also used for photo shoots... Jacey and hubs are great and they also have an incredible new cheese shop in Raleigh... Six Forks Cheese at Lafayette Village... check that out and you can get their Slate Plates there too!
