I haven’t had Greek Food since I moved here from the DMV. I wanted take out. The young lady answered on the second ring,(good sign). Ordered two Gyro platters and a Club Sandwich. The food was delicious. The order was ready when I arrived for pickup. The food was fresh, no French Fries in old grease which tends to make them look brown. The white sauce on the Gyro which I can’t pronounce was in the correct amount not drowning the peta bread. The Club Sandwich wash fresh. The lettuce was crunchy not soggy. I will eat there again. I do recommend them.

This place is not authentic Greek cuisine—it feels more like a Mexican-Greek fusion. Nothing match the Greek theme other than the decoration. The chicken was extremely dry and not a proper shish kebab, which was disappointing. The gyro was passable, but it seemed like a frozen, prepackaged product that was just reheated. As for the baklava, I wouldn’t recommend it at all—it was extremely dry, likely a week old, and didn’t resemble traditional baklava in taste or texture. If you’re looking for authentic Greek or Turkish food, there are much better options in Gastonia.

This is probably the best place to eat in Franklin Square. Had a gyro, Greek salad, and a Pepsi. Server was very friendly.

Ordered through doordash, gyro was good nothing to write home about. But the mozzarella sticks are why I’m writing this review. The mozzarella sticks themselves were fine but the marinara sauce smelled and tasted of alcohol and it seems it started to ferment because of the bubbles in it. Serious food hazard here!
Love this place!

The food is really good! No loud music, in case you are interested in actually talking to the people you are with versus looking at your cell phone. :)

I honestly hate to leave this restaurant a bad review, I really do. The food is amazing and I doordash this to myself at work several times a month. I got several of my coworkers at the hospital hooked on it too. Since I love the food so much, I have hyped my husband and son up about it , and they love Greek food as much as I do.
Today I was so excited to have a Saturday off (8/3/24)and be able to take my family to Akropolis to eat. Unfortunately they never go to try the food , and probably never will because i will not set foot back in there ever again.
When we got here , there were 3 other couples eating. (One of them was leaving ) . All of the tables with 4 seats were dirty, but no problem-it's small inside , and the only person that seemed to be waiting tables was cleaning a 4 top. There was no indication of whether or not we were to seat ourselves so we grabbed the clean 4 top when it was wiped down. Mind you this has been 5-6 minutes we had to wait and no one has spoken to us. We sit at a table and wait 10-15 more minutes and no one speaks to us. While we are sitting, a table leaves, and another table gets their check. That leaves us, and one other couple who already has their food, in the whole restaurant. When the first mentioned couple leaves, I thought surely the waitress would greet us , get a drink order, say hello, anything. But she walks around us to go clean the table where the couple left. Then walks by us several times without speaking to us . So we decided to leave . I don't know what we did to make the server just completely ignore us but I don't feel like it was deserved and I have never been treated so rudely by a small business. It really was just so blatantly rude that I left in tears , mostly from disappointment.
I would love to see Akropolis stay in business for years to come but if this is the kind of employees they have representing them then all I can say is good luck.
I would not recommend coming inside. Maybe a to go order, but you might be ignored when you go in.

Didn’t receive part of my order through DoorDash. Owner was no help. No problem. You lost a customer. Photo of order.Missing salads and a whole entree.

I swear I wish I would have taken a picture of that plate that I just got via door dash. Let me paint it for you. The Styrofoam trays that have three compartments, 1 big compartment and 2 little ones. In the big compartment that is generally for the entree had a salad in it. 1 of the little compartments had literally a few fries and the other little one had a tiny bit of gyro meat. Oh and half of a pita. My wife ordered from there mistakenly. We ordered from there once before and it was the same thing. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! Mad Greek is much better and their portions are fair. This was literally a kids plate by any measure.

Today, I was reminded why I didn't come back after my first time. Very mediocre greek food. Gyro salad was bland and skimpy. 1 tomato slice, 3 thin cucumber slices, 3 olives, 3 slivers of bell pepper, sprinkle of feta on a bunch of lettuce. Greek dreasing was simply oil with herbs. No flavor.
