The food here is solid, but I was really put off by a board in the back that’s clearly visible from the dining area. It lists employees by name under “did not upsell?” and other notes that feel like public shaming rather than coaching. As a customer, it makes the place feel more focused on squeezing upsells out of staff than on creating a positive, respectful environment. I hope management or corporate will address this and move to a more professional, private way of giving feedback to employees.
A meal for 1 person with fries and only a single patty is approaching $19. When I went into Five Guys, there were only 3 people working and they were all busy the entire time I was there. Tables weren’t cleaned but that’s because there wasn’t enough people there to clean tables.
Maybe focus on customer experience and reducing menu item prices instead of trying to nickel and dime customers. Bless the employees who make almost nothing, who have to put up with these shaming tactics.

This place is just a rip off I don't know how they stay in business Bad Daddy's burgers across the street is cheaper and way better. Or you could go to a fancy restaurant in downtown Gastonia for the same price. It use to be a good concept pay slightly more for fries and get a big size portion that's bigger than any restaurant but now the fries are more expensive than any restaurant and they barely give you any.

I watched as my burger sat on the counter, and the next two orders had their burgers made, and fries given to them. I walked up to the counter and they asked me if I was the third number after mine and I reminded them I was my number and then they decided to give me my burger. Horrible service.

How hard is it to not put cheese on the burger? Every single time I order online for pickup burger has cheese. It's literally like they have burgers sitting on a heater ready to go, they don't care about the actual order. Disgusting soggy burger bun.

Went to pickup a meal for myself and a friend in the hospital at the Gastonia location. Got a bacon cheeseburger a bacon burger and a large fries. Spent about 40 bucks that included a 10% tip for takeout. When I get there I waited while my fries were cooked got my order and prepared to leave. Until I see I have about a about a half to almost 2/3 cup of fries. I turn around and say something and Michael says there in the bottom on the bag. I look and whats in the bag still wont fill the cup up. I say come on man this is supposed to be a 8 dollar fry, Michael then proceeds to hand me a cup with 6 more fries in it. I've eaten at multiple locations with not just an over flowing cup but more in the bag. While I know the extra isn't necessary at least make sure my cup is full please. Gastonia I won't be back. I'm in CLT enough to wait until I'm there. Pics below

For the price of the food, there should absolutely be no reason they don’t have air conditioning! Stop by to grab some lunch, and the heat beat me at the door! I feel so sorry for the employees! I asked an employee how long have the sir been out, she said since last year! To work in that kind of environment with the heat wave we have been having is crazy! I won’t be surprised if one of them have a heat stroke in there! FIVE GUYS REALLY NEED TO DO BETTER!!!
