I usually dont leave reviews especially bad ones but its Mind blowing how fast this place has went down hill. I see The reviews they say everything is the same but you can clearly tell it is not . I live in charlotte and when we come to gastonia this would be one of my favorite stops. The workers they use to have were nice had a smile on their face and now the customers or the workers don't look like they want to be there . I am very disappointed ?

Love Carolina Country BBQ and wanted to get BBQ and all the trimmings for a birthday party. Called around noon on a Wednesday which they were open. First call someone picked up and hung up so tried 2 more times same thing so 3 hang ups then 4th call was a busy signal. I was frustrated but really wanted to place an order. 5 th call someone picked up set the phone down and I heard a long conversation with someone near the phone at the business. I hung up and ordered the party meal at Hillbillies with no difficulties. Hate to post this but this should not happen. Hope management sees this post.

Hands down we had the best bbq in Gastonia right here Sunday. Not only was the food good but the service was excellent, everyone was all very polite and working to help each other. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and family. Thank you and the ribs and onion rings are wonderful
Came to eat with my family Sunday and our service and customer services was great took a little long for food but seemed everyone was working todgether over all was great food and we will definitely be back

What is certain for me is the food just isn't that good. Between the family and work everyone said the same thing. I actually got picked at for the week following for bringing the work group out - the meat just isn't cooked properly. Well well overdone and dry. this for me has been true for all 3 attempts.
The dinning in experience was very bland and ghost like. As a working team on a time line we went for a lunch and lost 2 hours Collective - well beyond what we expected.
As a whole I unfortunately will not buy here again.

I got the 2 meat plate. With bbq pork and ribs. I ordered to-go and even after driving home, both meats were still very moist and tender. They did a killer job with them! The sides were good as well.

I placed a simple order (mostly our usual order) - hamburger steak dinner and 2 burgers with fries (All Americans that SHOULD come with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and they USUALLY send mayo and mustard in packets). They came PLAIN- no condiments whatsoever and the fries were not fully cooked. I tried calling once I arrived home but no one would answer- let me say that I live less than 5 minutes from this restaurant and had left there with multiple cars still in parking lot.
If this were the first time we had received bad orders, I would not complain - but this is not our first, but more like 6+ - it has now become the running joke - if you want a bad order then call OCBBQ!
Poor management and cook staff - no one paying attention to details any longer. This is a shame since this was a well established business for many, many years. I have known the Morris family for more years than this new group has been a part of the family, so I know this was not the way it was nor would it have been tolerated.
This was my final attempt to stay loyal, but no longer. I will reach out to manager/owner to let them know personally. And also will reach out to some of the Morris family to let them know I tried…..

Just sent my family to pick up our food and we spent over $80. The barbecue was very dry and full of gristle. French fries were very cold and the slaw I received tasted sour. The sweet tea we order was not sweet at all and tasted old. We have always ate at this restaurant and we are very unhappy with our visit. Do not waste your money at this establishment. We called to complain and the manager hung up on me when I started telling them what made me unhappy with our order.
