We had a big event recently. We kept communicating that we needed to feed 165 people. That wasn't the case with the food servings. We ran out of three sides within 20 minutes. Reached out to the catering managers and owners, and they were supposed to contact us about it and we never heard anything. Communication could be a lot better. We just won't use their catering services anymore. Unfortunate because the food is great.

Great food, but for just three being over $100 with tip, was a bit pricey for us, otherwise this would have been a 5 Star.

The ribs were overcooked and tough. The green beans were underseasoned, which is not normal for this restaurant. I was there around 3 o’clock in the afternoon so I know the food should not have been dried out.

I actually had a very good experience at Ray Nathans. The service was top tier. The young lady was patient and walked us through the menu. I ordered ribs, sausage, brisket and pulled pork. My sides were Mac n cheese and collards. The food and presentation were all top tier. The manager even gave me a slice of the apple cake. While this was not the best BBQ I had there were some standouts. Particularly the sausage was amazing. And the apple cake was among the best desserts I've had. The sides however were just were hit n miss. The mac. N cheese was pretty good. The collards however were not very good at all. Just bland. The other meats had good smoke but not enough flavor. The brisket was the biggest disappointment because it needed more salt and pepper in an otherwise amazing texture and smell. I would return to Ray Nathans if I'm in the area but only if I'm in the area

Awesome food, but why in the heck would they let Tim Waltz hold a rally there.
Delicious food and great staff!
I had a long black hair on my chicken and another curly brown hair in my pulled pork.
The okra was frozen. The biscuit was flavorless and the bill for three people to have Sunday lunch was $85.00 after tip.
Never again
Food is always very good & staff very friendly. Gets busy/crowded, making it very loud & hard to hear people at your table.
Called ahead for take-out at last visit: told 10 min, got there more than that, waited another 15. To be fair, it was 530p Sat - but team could have been better with expected ready time.

Ain’t no WAY I’ll be back. Keep your business unpolitical
But now that you have
GOODBYE. Nasty ahhh place.
The bbq really isn't that good. I can make better bbq in my oven much less my smoker. You can tell it's old and dried out when you eat it. Not sure why everyone loves the banana pudding. It's very runny and not of "pudding" consistency. Really let down for the price we paid. Mac and cheese was OK.

Worst service and meal ever. Couldn’t even eat it, nothing but fat
Best Ribs & Brisket! Great Service!
RayNathan's is the best BBQ in Gaston County! They had a terrific catering menu and made a fantastic spread of pulled pork, brisket, and chicken for a community event we attended. We'd highly recommend them for your next catering event or office party!
