Atmosphere, Food, Service. Most places have you pick one or two, RayNathan’s gives all 3. We are in town for my son’s graduation and we were looking for a simple dinner. Quick google search lead us here, and I am so happy we found it. Friendly staff, great menu, then I saw the Primus posters! Our server was the best and informative and forced us to eat banana pudding and peach cobbler! I’m not a grits guy, but thought I’d give them a go, and wow the slow cooked jalapeño...
The ribs were overcooked and tough. The green beans were underseasoned, which is not normal for this restaurant. I was there around 3 o’clock in the afternoon so I know the food should not have been dried out.
I actually had a very good experience at Ray Nathans. The service was top tier. The young lady was patient and walked us through the menu. I ordered ribs, sausage, brisket and pulled pork. My sides were Mac n cheese and collards. The food and presentation were all top tier. The manager even gave me a slice of the apple cake.
