I got the meat sampler and it was very nicely prepared. It was most definitely more than one person can eat. It's only a few miles off of 85 and it worth the detour. It's definitely a great hole in the wall barbecue

Been coming here for 12 years now, an accidental stop on the way to VA. Now, it's a planned stop when traveling from SC to Charlotte. This place stands apart as the only place I repeatedly say I want to go to again, and actually do. What sets this place apart is the unique sauce - I've tried for years to replicate it, but I've conceded and just enjoy it when I stop by.

I was hoping to get takeout to feed my family, so I called this restaurant more than three times around 7 PM to place an order, but no one answered. When I finally arrived at 7:35, the staff informed me that the kitchen closed at 7:30. If someone had answered my calls, I wouldn’t have had to deal with this situation. I usually recommend this place to others, but after this experience with their service, I can’t do that anymore.

Very good burger. I had the smoked one with chili. I let server pick my toppings. The house bbq sauce was a treat to dip the fries in. There was a steady crowd so I can see it getting busy quick. Overall great experience. I would go back and try something else especially the pulled pork or brisket. .

Ordered a 1/2 pound cheeseburger with chili mustard onions and slaw, when I got home to Kings Mountain, it was a plain small cheeseburger with no fixings on it. I called the restaurant all they would say is if I drive all the way back to Gastonia they would put the fixings on it. Very sorry service…the least they could have done was offer me a credit some other time. Very disappointed!
