Very racist!!! I'm a asian lawyer with a bunch of my white friends. The waitress totally looked at me when I said I wanna place my order and got all my friends first and came to me last. All lawyers (We left)

My husband & I stopped for ice cream today. He's from here, very nostalgic & a huge fan of orange sherbet. The staff was extremely rude. My husband commented that Tony's makes the best orange sherbet. One guy shot him a look. The guy waiting on us ignored the comment and the girl look up glumly from what she was doing, wrinkle her nose and looked back down again. No one said a word or even cracked a smile as my husband attempted to further engage them in conversation. An unwelcoming silence hung over us while we waited for our order. I ordered 2 scoops with pineapple topping, my favorite. The guy pushed my ice cream towards me and I politely asked if my pineapple topping was on there. He snatched it back, exchanged glands with the girl as he shook his head as if I were inconveniencing him. I couldn't believe it! I paid for my eight dollar order with a ten dollar bill. The guy made my change and as he turned to hand it to me he looked as if he couldn't believe I waited for it. I do not tip rudeness. I wanted to walk away before we got our order and paid for it but I knew my husband wanted his orange sherbet. I will not be back to Tony's ever again. Neither willy husband. And I am going to tell everyone who will listen how horribly rude and unwelcoming the staff of Tony's Ice Cream is.

I love bringing my friends, family, and boyfriend here for a hot dog, chili cheese fries, and a milkshake! The ice cream is the best! Pro tip: mix the flavors in the milkshake you get! I love getting peanut butter and chocolate in mine to improv a Reese's milkshake. :) You can't go wrong visiting Tony's. It's practically a NC historical site.

I have actually been coming to Tonys for decades. When my aunt was alive and we would visit, she always took us to Tonys. And anytime I'm in Gastonia, I try to stop in. So when we recently took my mom to Charlotte, we knew Tonys would be a must on our way home. We arrived with just a small crowd. By the time we left 20 minutes later, the line was out the door. So expect a crowd especially in the summer when its 98 degrees outside with 1000% humidity. Their ice cream is fresh made and is the best. You can get scoops or cones or buy it by the pint and take it home. I got a scoop of grape and bubble gum, my SIL got a huge scoop of butter pecan, and mom got a hot fudge sunde. And they give you plenty for your money. There were also plenty of banana splits being made and they look amazing and big enough for 2. The ice cream is some of the best around. The portions are plentiful and are easy on the wallet. And the employees are great. If you are anywhere near or passing by Gastonia..Tonys is worth the stop.

We love Tony's Ice Cream and we decided to order Tony's Ice Cream on Postmates a few nights ago. It was around 9:30PM and they close at 10:00PM. A postmate was not available immediately and when our postmate Shameak H. arrived at the store, they had been closed.. BUT they saw him and allowed him to come in anyway and place the order for us after hours! Shameak was so nice and when he arrived with our delicious ice cream, he said we needed to leave a 5 star rating for them on their customer service. It is awesome that the small things in life are the most rewarding. We should have left Tony's a review many months ago since we have been returning customers but this seems like the perfect time. My spouse, myself and our Postmate, Shameak, were all very much so impressed. Any normal business turns patrons away after business hours but they wanted to go above and beyond. Plus, the banana split and grape ice cream we ordered was amazing as always. Thank you Tony's Ice Cream for treating our community RIGHT and bringing people together with your passion for people and ice cream!

My husband and I stopped in after church on Sunday for a treat. They were doing steady business when we arrived. I had a lemon milkshake that was delicious. My husband was not so impressed with his peanutbutter ripple shake; said not much flavor - more like just vanilla shake. Just remember to not ask for a lid when you get a milkshake or they will know you are not from Gastonia.

Tony’s ice cream is a family friendly and affordable grill and ice cream parlor. We eat here often and it never disappoints. Highly recommend it for families or anyone looking for a quick meal!
