Pretty clear why Wendy's is going out of business. Went to drive through. We and the car behind us gave up after 5 minutes of waiting with no response. Had the same issue at another location. Bad service.

I visited the Wendy's location at 2415 N Chester St. in Gastonia, NC on November 3, 2025, around 11:41 p.m. and was extremely disappointed with the service I received through the drive-thru. The associate, a mixed gentleman with long hair, greeted me with a noticeable attitude from the start. As I asked questions about my order, his demeanor only worsened.
When I requested honey mustard sauce for my burger, he responded defensively, stating that no sauce comes with the burger. A female colleague intervened, politely informing me about the extra cost for sauce, which I was happy to pay.
However, when I arrived at the window to collect my order, the same associate was still visibly upset. After a brief exchange about my order, he threw my debit card back at me through the window, cutting my lip slightly. He then walked away, leaving me shocked and hurt.
This behavior was unacceptable and clearly intentional. I felt disrespected and decided not to pursue the matter further at that moment. I visited another Wendy's location (Carowinds Blvd), where the service was exceptional.
It's disappointing that an employee with such a demeanor is allowed to interact with customers. I am filing a police report and hope that management takes necessary actions to address this incident. Customers deserve respect and professionalism, regardless of the situation.
Recommendation: I would suggest that the management of this Wendy's location takes immediate action to address the behavior of this associate and provides training on customer service and conflict resolution. Additionally, it would be beneficial to have a system in place for customers to report incidents like this, ensuring that similar situations are prevented in the future.

This was a great experience, service was exceptional, staff friendly and efficient.
Food tasty and hot.i just wish this Wendy’s was closer to our house . We have one but no where near as nice as this one.

This wendy’s always has you waiting 20 mins even if there is nobody in line
I did an online order and still had to wait more than 15 minutes in the drive thru for the line to move. Also, they didn't tell us they were out of lettuce until my husband got off the car to ask for the correct order.

The guy at the window hates his job, not even a hello when we picked up our order which we waited like 15mins in the drive thru line. They also supposedly ran out of lettuce and didn’t even bother telling me, I had to go in the store and ask.
At least the food was good.

i don’t mind waiting in line but the workers can at least not have a stank face or attitude / no manners when taking orders or at the window . while checking our food also the lady is staring at me with a nasty look on her face . If you don’t like your job GET A DIFFERENT ONE it doesn’t take much to say please thank you or even have a good day and the food was cold they gave none of the sauces we asked or any extras and that’s the exact reason we check our bags 😂

The times I got food, they were pretty good.
The last 4 or 5 times that I've tried to get food but it's been impossible. I try and stop after church pretty often. At least 4 or 5 times in the past 2 months that I tried, either their credit card machines were down, their computers were down, they were only taking cash, their employees were standing outside. Always some excuse. Taco bell is just down the road and is always ready to go. Credit card machines are always working so I don't know why Wendy's struggles so much

I’ve been to this location 2 times. The workers are RUDE! The wait is extremely long with no customers. We waited to order for approximately 28 min in line and when we finally paid, the order was wrong and took even longer to correct it. Service is a 0! They are always outside in their cars having conversations and listening to music. I would avoid this location at all costs!
