...all delicious and I ended up buying a bottle of The Elder.

Everyone from the Williamson at the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market is great! Stop by and let Lilia set you up with the best meads in the state. They have so many great ciders and meads that it's hard to choose a favorite... I like Floki's. They rotate the offerings at the market so stop by often. FYI, building C where they are located is open only on Saturday and Sunday 8-2pm.

We have never tried mead before and wanted to stop in for tastings. Amazing selection of meads with many different flavors. Definitely recommend the Traditional Tasting, great way to introduce yourself to mead. Really liked Ragnar’s Tears, The Raven, and Braggi Mead, but many others are great & worth having. Very friendly staff and the outdoor seating is perfect. Off the beaten path but so worth going to. We will be back hopefully soon!

Awesome place! We drove up today as a surprise for my wife’s birthday and sampled some of the meads. Wonderful place, we will definitely be back for another visit.

My wife Morgan and I were there last night, where we tasted 16 delightfully crafted (and highly awarded) meads. The traditional flight consisted of five of the most sublime and balanced meads I've ever encountered. His fruited meads were brilliant and refreshing. Its very obvious that Matthew has exerted every effort to hone his mastery of crafting an ancient beverage in a modern way, without caving to any gimmicks or fads. His tasting room is cozy, with ample outdoor seating which even offers significant cushioned seating and shade. Yesterday there was food and live music as well! Matthew spent a very generous dose of his time explaining the history of his brews, some of which he has spent decades perfecting. If you're looking for a place where you can enjoy many different styles and ideas within the realm of mead, you've got to stop by and enjoy the result of this bold, innovative brewer and his decades of dedication.

Wow! My husband and I always go out of our way to find meaderies wherever we go, and while we were in the Elkin area we decided to go to Williamson. We tried 4 out 5 of his signurature flights, and was impressed by all of them! From using a wide variety of rare artisinal honeys and fruits, to the basic traditionals, his brews were fantastic! The location itself was fun and enganging with live music and activities. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of Matthews brews! If you're near the area it is defenitly a place to go and hang out with some amazing meads!
