Love the vibe, the food and the staff, but wish they would tone down the heavy cleansers. The fog of chemical fragrance is so thick it makes me lose my appetite and I can’t be in the space for long, which is a bummer. I’m glad it doesn’t seem to bother others, but anyone who is sensitive to that is going to have a tough time if they aren’t on the patio.

Visited the Local after enjoying Captain Mark’s waterfalls cruise on Lake Glenville and it did not disappoint! The Cuban sandwich and Cuban dip were out of this world delicious. Best I’ve had! The Cuban coffee was great as well! If you are in the area don’t skip The Local!

Outstanding restaurant! Our meal was fantastic! We met the owner and chatted for a few minutes! The food was awesome... and EVERYTHING is made fresh -- the hand cut fries are delicious, and our burger was amazing! Definitely worthh the visit, and we will be coming back soon! It's super clean and has a new modern/rustic atmosphere.... kuddos that it's also co-located with a nice mountain gas station! Love ❤️ it!

This restaurant is the BEST!!! From the moment we walked, the service was excellent… even got to talk to the owner and hear the back story of him being from Texas and the other owner from Miami…. Which is where the fusion of BBQ and Cuban comes from! The food was incredible!!! We will go back every time we’re in that part of North Carolina during Spring Break! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The food was delicious, and the employees were friendly. They have TVs inside for sports and a nice outdoor area. I got the bbq nachos with pulled pork, and they were great! My son loved the mac and cheese.

Gas stations spots are always worth the stop, good food is worth the respect. This place has neither good pumps nor good food.
