Let’s start with the positives—the service was excellent. The young lady who waited on us was friendly, attentive, and really made us feel welcome. The link sausage and home fries were solid, definitely the better parts of the meal.
Unfortunately, the rest of the food fell flat. The grits were oddly sweet, more like cream of wheat, and arrived lukewarm. I asked for cheese in them, but it didn’t melt at all. The eggs were barely warm, the sausage patties were tough and also not hot, and the pancakes followed suit—cold and uninspiring. The bacon was undercooked to the point of nearly being raw.

I understand where you're coming from, and I absolutely support small businesses—that’s why I left a balanced review that praised the excellent service we received. Your server was fantastic, and I made sure to highlight that.
As for the food issues, I didn’t raise them at the time because, frankly, it wasn’t just one item—it was multiple. By the time I realized how many parts of the meal were cold, undercooked, or just off, it felt pointless to send half the table back. I wasn’t looking for a comped meal or to cause a scene—I just wanted to leave honest feedback that might help improve things going forward.
And I’ve gotta say—while I understand being frustrated by a negative review, it’s also part of being a business owner. Staying on top of the quality of food leaving the kitchen is ultimately your responsibility. If multiple items came out cold or poorly cooked, that’s not on the server—that’s on whoever’s overseeing the back of house, which often comes back to ownership.
I didn’t consider my review “terrible,” just honest. If everyone only leaves glowing praise and no one speaks up when things go wrong, nothing improves. I hope future guests have a better experience than I did, and I wish your business the best.

Wanna good small town experience cooking? This is the place to be. From amazing hamburgers to their cinnamon rolls pancakes! While I only go there when the friendly big red hair cook is there as their production and efficency is on point!

Been three times. That’s 3 times my order has been wrong. I always ask for a specific vege and I’ve seen it go to another table while dining in, I’ve had 7 layer salad instead of the vege I asked for, and now I’ve had corn instead of what I ordered. Food is decent, but there’s a reason why there’s never hardly anyone there, probably the same reason I won’t be coming back.
