Feels good being the first one!! Ok, where to start... this is my FAVORITE place to eat in Goldsboro. They have the undisputed BEST cheese burger in Goldsboro. They serve what i call "steak fries". The fries are thick, soft, and corkscrew in shape. Another big hit on the menu is "steak sticks", which i HIGHLY recommend. The steak sticks are small slices of fried steak which they bread and season right there in the store. Prices are absolutely reasonable and the portions are perfect! They have other daily specials i haven't tried such as chicken pastry, shrimp sandwiches, sausage dogs, and chicken tenders. In my opinion this is a GREAT place for dates, and family dinners. Also great for orders on the go as they accept call in orders that are fresh and hot upon pickup. try it out!!!

Nice small, cash-only diner located on Walnut Street where Off-Center Pizza was previously. We went in the early afternoon between lunch and dinner and they weren't busy. Our to-go order was out in less than 10 mins, the order was right, and the food was hot. All the staff were very nice. We tried the steak sticks and onion rings since we had heard so much about them. Both were yummy! Again, they are cash only but there is an ATM on-site. We hope to go back again soon!

However we do have more than one fryer and if you received 5 onion rings it was with a combo, if you wanted more, then you would have had to order the appetizer portion. I'm the first face you see and I'm never unfriendly to anyone. Maybe you could come back and receive a better experience.......
Went Saturday and won't be returning. 3 of us all were served our meals at separate times. 2 of the 3 orders were incorrect. 3rd meal arrived long after other 2 of my family had finished. Famous steak strips were tasteless. Onion rings were delicious! But received 5 in entire order. If I had to guess, I'd say they only have one deep fryer so no one will eat meals together. Staff were not friendly. If they are really the Mary's Drive In folks, they have forgotten how to run a restaurant.
