P.T.'s Olde Fashioned Grille

If I could give it no stars I would they want all this money for this food and the food is disgusting I could have made this at home they need to shut down

I stopped here tonight for my first time while in Goldsboro. The burgers are not real beef and are not good. The bathrooms are filthy and the restaurant has a bad smell. The young people in there was eating and one guy went to the grill and put more chilly on his fries that he was eating out of. The young lady in there was dress inappropriate shorts was almost showing her butt cheeks. The don’t wear gloves on the grill. If my order wasn’t already paid for I wouldn’t have spent 38$…. Never ever ever again!!

Ate outside, arriving at 11A. All of the tables were dirty, the bar by the window was dirty, dirty napkins stuffed inside napkin holders at the window, napkins on concrete, bird excrement on the bar and concrete at end of the bar. We asked worker if someone could clean the table and he said yes; however no one came. One of us had to go inside and request a cloth, and we cleaned our table. Another party had to clean off the ir table as well. Overall, outside eating area was filthy.
Manager needs to require that before the grill opens, outside dining area is cleaned up.

I’ve been eating the grilled chicken salad for years! No matter if a wait 6mth or a week my salad always taste fresh and the chicken is flavored well but my husband got me a salad and all it had was chicken lettuce and croutons. what happened to the tomatoes and cucumbers? Pretty disappointed since eating out isn’t cheap.

I waited 45 minutes for a grilled chicken sandwich. First, it took 10 minutes for them to find out if they had pimento cheese. Then, I watched as two customers that were behind me, get their food and ate. Lastly, I asked what was taking so long. She said they have been waiting on fries. I let her know, I never ordered fries. She just said, oh... The majority of the time I'm waiting, the girl just stood there behind the counter on her phone. Safe to say, ill never go back. I was hoping that since I waited so long, the food would be great. Wrong! The bun was so soggy I couldn't eat it. The fries they gave me, because that's what they were waiting on 😐 were cold. Just horrible all the way around. Never again PT Grille, never again!

Disappointing Experience at P.T.’s Grille in Goldsboro

I’ve been a loyal customer of the P.T.’s brand for over 25 years, primarily in the Wilmington area, and have always had positive experiences. However, my visit to the Goldsboro location was incredibly disappointing—and unfortunately, will be my last.

While traveling through Goldsboro on my way to the beach, I stopped to place a to-go order. What should have been a quick stop turned into a 40-minute wait, with no clear explanation or accountability from the staff. Although someone who ordered after me and dined in received their food before I did, my concerns about the delay were essentially ignored.

When I finally asked for a refund because I couldn’t wait any longer, I was told that a manager wasn’t on site and couldn’t be reached easily. The employee said she’d have to call him, but no resolution was offered on the spot.

More troubling than the long wait was what I witnessed while standing there: the cook walked to the back, came out moments later visibly vaping (with smoke coming from his mouth and nose), and returned directly to the grill—no handwashing, no gloves. I also saw him repeatedly wipe sweat from his face with a bar towel and continue cooking, again without gloves or handwashing. These are clear food safety violations.

By the time I finally received the order, the fries were soggy and unappetizing—clearly having sat out for too long. The sandwich quality was also poor, especially compared to what I’m used to from other locations.

I called the manager, Blake Vail, the next day to explain the situation. He did not return my call as promised, so I had to follow up with him myself. Despite everything I shared—including food safety violations and the disappointing food—his only response (repeated four times) was to offer to cook me a “hot and fresh meal” if I came back. I explained that I was only passing through Goldsboro and that I would not be returning after what I experienced. I also asked to speak to someone above him, but he refused to provide that contact.

Due to the multiple health code violations I witnessed, I filed a report with the Wayne County Health Department. I was told during that call that this was not the first complaint of this nature about this location.

I sincerely hope the necessary changes are made at this restaurant—for the sake of future customers’ safety and satisfaction.

PT’s is usually great, but this location was disappointing.
I waited far too long for my order—honestly, I would’ve gotten my food faster if I had driven to the Wilmington location. While I waited, most of the staff were sitting at the bar on their phones, and the store was noticeably dirty despite only having a few customers inside. Definitely not the standard I’ve come to expect from PT’s.

Best burger and fries I’ve had in my life! Super friendly staff.

Black bean burger was excellent!! Fries could have been a lil more crispy but I threw them in the air fryer when I got home!! They were still good!!!

I ordered a 4oz burger. They offered 4 or 8 oz. They cooked an 8 oz and cut in half. Who does that. Frys gross the poured some kind od dry seasoning all over them. No where did the menu say seasoned fry. The bathroom was disgusting, dirty towel in the changing table . Toilet paper all over floor. Staff was in a party mood, on their phone yelling and screaming. Yea we were the only ones in there and I see why. Never going back. Yuck

I ordered my burger well done and it was raw. I had to let someone else eat it. The fries were not too my personal liking either. Online order took 50 minutes, no one else was waiting. It's cute though.

Not a bad experience just incredibly underwhelmed and disappointed. The staff were nice, not many customers until we were leaving so it was a quite place save for the music. But the food just didn't hit. Probably won't seek out going here again.
