The shrimp tacos are kickin' with picco & spice. My cheese & steak quesadilla was full of med rare steak & cheese deliciousness. Special shout out to our server Faith for taking great care of my family. Great place! š

Upon walking in I immediately noticed the floor isnāt level in building bothered me pretty bad. My first impression was if they can keep care of their building they will probably not be able to take care of customers. We got ribeyes and food quality was terrible. Crab cake was so salty I couldnāt eat it. Service was very good though I usually need multiple refills and wait staff did a fantastic job.

This was mine and my wifeās first time eating here, after several people I know recommended the steaks here.
Overall I gave the village steakhouse an average rating. Nothing about the food or service really blew me away. I ordered an 8oz ribeye with the salad bar and twice baked mashed potatoes, my wife ordered the 8oz Village Sirloin with salad bar and twice baked mashed potatoes.
The salad bar was pretty good, it had roughly about 15 - 20 different items to choose from. She had ranch dressing and I had blue cheese we both were pretty please with both.
When our steak entrees came out they both looked good but I immediately seen a few concerns.
My wife ordered her 8 oz sirloin well done, her steak looked to be a bit thick for 8 ounces which was not bad, but because of the thickness the desired cooking temperature was off.
The steak had a good bit of red juices coming from it which indicated that it was not cooked well done as ordered. She cut into it and it looked to be a more medium rare temperature with a solid streak of red meat in the middle.
This immediately turned her off from eating it, she ended up sending her steak back and ordered a grilled chicken breast instead because she was worried that the steak would be tougher if it had been recooked. Once her chicken came out she was pleased with the taste and tenderness of it.
My ribeye seemed to be a bit on the thin side to be 8 ounces, I ordered mine medium rare. Because my steak was thin it was cooked to a well done temperature with no red or pink in the middle of it. I did not send it back, but I was not pleased with my desired doneness. The steak was tender and had a good flavor to it.
One thing we noticed was that other servers offered their customers bread with their entreeās. Our server did not offer this to us, so we do not know if it was just overlooked or not. Our server only came back to our table a couple of times during our visit. I had to ask her for refills on tea instead of her asking us if we wanted any more. Overall she was friendly but just maybe seemed a little young and inexperienced.
The restaurant has a very clean atmosphere and appearance and the entire staff was friendly.
I would probably give The Village Steakhouse and Pub another visit before I pass a recommendation or not. They may have just had an off night and my entire experience just did not hit all the check boxes this time. As a personal rule of thumb I always give any place I try at least two chance to impress me.
To the owners Iām not being harsh, this is just a honest review with a first time visitor, Iāll look forward to giving the restaurant another try.

My group of 5 really enjoyed the service and the coziness of the restaurant. The steaks, burgers and salad bar were great. šš The surprise was they dust the sweet potato fries with sugar (I prefer just light salt) and the 6oz rosemary chicken breast looked like the size of a 1/4 lb burger. The 6oz steak was obviously a larger looking portion comparatively. š¤
I would definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be coming again. My suggestion is to ask more questions about the portions.
The food is amazing and the staff is really good too

I had a Ribeye steak and it was quite good, also appreciated the choices of salad dressing. Only complaint I had was that the room we dined in was very warm, but I am sure that was probably just a temporary situation... Delicious food.

So we found this place a while back and loved it. Staff was always great and food and drinks were great as well. Tonight we went in and for dinner. Sat down at the bar. The other couple at the bar were leaving at the time and making us two the only ones at the bar. The bar tender a short female asked us for drinks. We said we were good at the moment and needed to decide. After several minutes of her, staring at us and us staring at her, I ask if we could have menus. So she ended his two food menus and we ask what the specials were and she said there was none. A few moments later, a taller lady walked behind the bar, and I inquired about drink specials. The short one said oh yeah, and walked down to the other end of the bar picked up a figurine that was holding the drink specials. Write them off and sat them down. So one of the drink specials on the front door that she didnāt even tell us about was the fresh fruit blackberry Mojitos we ordered one of those and I ordered a whiskey The short bartender has no clue what sheās doing on making Mojitos as she put the ice in the fruit in the glass together, and then use the muddler to crush the ice and the fruit After receiving our drinks from what I call a beer, Tender. We ordered our dinner. I ordered the thick cut pork chop. Which was at least 40% bone when I got it. It was also severely overcooked. I understand people make mistakes and have off days. However, when they asked me if I was done with my food and I pointed out, that half of the pork chop, I had was solid bone the short Bar Tender just kind of shrugged your shoulders and ignored the comment. Upon conversation with another gentleman that came to the bar I found out sheās the manager of the place. All I Gotta say is thereās night and day difference and doesnāt even seem like the same place that I was at three days ago.

The good: 2 filets perfect cook. Fries appeared hand cut and fried well
The bad: 2x baked mashed were cold and covered in greasy cheese. Nachos looked like amateur hour with liquid cheese and 2lb of lettuce.
Overall not worst we ever had. Between food misses and phoned in service from the waitress, won't be going back.
