Beware. They claim #1 but I think they forgot a few zeros. Very disappointing. What we ordered & what we got were 2 very different things. You can only order online. We received web confirmation & email confirmation. Even the receipts showed what we ordered. But we received way less. Showed slaw was included - it was not. Showed gravy was included - it was not. Showed 1 to 2 sides - we both ordered 2 but only got one and barely one (ordered fries & we got about 10 pieces, BBQ potatoes = about 3 pieces & one was hardly cooked). And the pork was not very good - very spicy, no slaw, no sauce. Soda was mostly ice & flat. $22 not including tip. Yikes. We won’t be back.

Hands down best BBQ experience ever! We have eaten a lot of NC BBQ and this is the absolute best. It’s so good we got a bottle of sauce to take home. Bonus: our waitress was a friendly NC State Wolfpack fan!

I had the barbecue pulled pork and quite frankly was disappointed. I read a lot of the reviews so I had higher expectations. At least the pork was dry and not fatty, but there was just not much taste. I couldn’t even tell that it was barbecued, had no smoke taste at all, The barbecue sauce that people spoke highly of, tasted disgusting to me, it tasted mostly like I was eating vinegar, it’s quite frankly the worst barbecue sauce I think I’ve ever had. I did like the hush puppies that they gave me in the beginning and the sides were good. I recommend the greens and the fried okra. The fried okra was cooked to perfection, crunchy, but not oily, but when I go to a barbecue restaurant, I wanted to taste like barbecue, not something cooked in a crockpot.

Outstanding barbecue, Brunswick stew, hushpuppies and pretty good okra! I was a stranger but i got a warm wecome and a large glass of sweet tea.
Then the plate of cue arrived and it was looking and smelling great. The pork was medium chop, slightly smokey and very well prepared. Both the hushpuppies and the Brunswick stew are addictive!
I will go back next time I am in the area!

It took them a very long time to find our food and the service was not that good they ran out of food and didn't tell us until we went in to ask about our food 🙃.

Expected a long wait based on all the folks waiting outside but they just do a ton of carryout. We were seated right away and food was fast, delicious and inexpensive. 4 of us ate for $45!! Kids split 12 wings which were crispy and nicely seasoned. The bbq platter was quite large. The bbq itself was DELICIOUS!! Desserts were good. They were out of quote a few selections but We walked in an hour before closing so that's not unexpected. Glad we took the detour from our route to try Wilbur's!

My husband and I got the pork BBQ, Brunswick stew, slaw, Wilber's cookies, and sauce from their Raleigh pop-up, so we can't rate the atmosphere of the restaurant, but everything else was incredible. The BBQ had clear smoke flavor from cooking and just a hint of spice - it didn't last long in the house! - and we really appreciated the size of the chop (medium, some good chunks in the pint). Wow, the sauce. We've been putting it on everything we can since we got it. It has just the right amount of bite. The pork with some sauce plus some slaw on the side is the perfect balance of smoke, spice, bite, and sweetness.
But, seriously, don't sleep on the cookies. Neither of us are typically fans of cookies with dried fruit in them, but these are the exception. The edges are crunchy, the middle is chewy, and they're toasty, sweet from the fruit, and nutty from the pecans. Absolutely addictive.
It was all made so much better by the warm service. We'll be swinging by the restaurant soon and they can count us as to-be regulars.

Me and a group of family went here last Sunday! We came in a little before 2pm and they were out of bout everything! Not to mention that a girl who's section We went to almost lost it when she saw 10 African American people come to her section! Not even saying Hello, she left out and they sent an African American waitress to help. Thought that was kinda crazy!
What they said they had left, all changed after we ordered! They came back saying half of All our orders probably couldn't be filled, so we had to order basically what they had! Desiring to try their food anyway, we received several plates that were literally Cold and most of the food thrown together apparently!
I'm assuming they took those plates and warmed them up, but the food was Not good! Barbecue was extremely dry! Vegetables were like they came straight out of the can!
So, with all the issues we were having, I requested to speak to the Manager. It took her 20 minutes to come out and when she did, it was a little 20 year old girl, who obviously has Zero People or Communication skills, or Any Restaurant Management skills!
I expressed that we were not cool with the entire experience and I asked if she could at least take the drinks off for our inconvenience and the major issues! She said I'll see and left! Then sent someone else back to tell us she could give us a Slice of cake for our troubles!! Not for everyone either, but (1) slice for 10 unhappy customers!
On top of the fact that I was Already kind of skeptical because I didn't see any other African Americans while we were there!
Even outside of the food and the service not being up to par, Management is Critical to Any business! They can either make or break your business! You can't just throw your granddaughter in that position and expect Good Business!
Anywhere else, we would have been treated with respect and dealt with as if we mattered, and especially with us spending well over $200 on this visit! Not offered a slice of cake for troubles beginning from the time we entered! And I don't care if people walk in 10 minutes before you close, if they spend $10 on a BBQ sandwich, it should taste the same as one bought when you first open!
Also, keep in mind that African Americans is where a big bulk of your money will come from, if you don't treat them like you Don't want them there!!!!
I brought family from out of town and they all were utterly disappointed!
If you guys desire to stay in business you gotta do better.
So, People, as of right now, I Don't think Wilbur's is ready for Real Business from All races or at all!
I was and is still very disappointed about that visit!
