Rise & Shine Diner Reviews
I go the huevos con chorizo plate (with rice & beans), plus a side of "home fries" (seasoned fried potatoes). My friend ordered the chilaquiles with steak. Both choices were fantastic (I sampled theirs!) and mine came with freshly made tortillas. The chorizo was delicious -- turns out they make their own. I plan to return and eat my way through the menu! Service was outstanding, too.
The service was slow and my omelet was bland. I didn't have a fork and it took 3 times asking for one before I got it. Waitress was refilling other people's coffee but walked right past me. When I was able to get my waitresses attention and asked for a refill it took forever!!!! Won't be back!
We ordered our to go today. Mom’s hamburger was prepared wrong and it tasted like it had been cooked at lunch. It was cold. Dad’s sweet potato casserole was terrible. They also charge a To Go tax. Probably will not be going back anytime soon. Very disappointed.

Rise & Shine Diner is a restaurant known for its delicious food and great service. Popular dishes include the chicken Gordita, Philly Cheesesteak, and chicken and Dumplings. The chicken is praised for its taste, and the beans are described as perfect. While the cabbage was found to be slightly underseasoned, salt and pepper are available at the table. The diner also offers many vegetarian options, such as omelettes that can be made without meat. The atmosphere is kid-friendly, with country music playing without profanity. The staff is attentive and friendly, ensuring customers are well taken care of. The restaurant often features specials like two-dollar tacos on Tuesday, which are a popular choice. The breakfast options, especially country fried steak, are highly praised, making it a favorite spot for weekend mornings. Some reviews mention that the place looks a little sketchy from the outside, but inside it has a cozy, welcoming vibe that combines its original Mexican roots with its current American diner style. Customers note that the service is great and the food is consistently good and affordable. Prices are reasonable and the place is busy at times, but the wait is worth it. Guests appreciate the family-friendly environment with country music and attentive servers. Overall, Rise & Shine Diner is a popular spot for both adults and children to enjoy hearty meals in a friendly setting.
