We placed an order through DoorDash, but the store failed to include it in the bag. I received a call stating they had been “trying to reach me” and that the dasher could not return to pick it up—which I understand. When I asked what could be done from a customer service standpoint, two staff members told me my only option was to request a refund through DoorDash.
I explained that I have a sick child at home and could not come in to get the food, but there was no acknowledgment of responsibility or willingness to help. When I asked to speak with an owner or manager, I was met with resistance. Eventually, I gave up and ended the call.
This is unacceptable from a business we—and many of our friends—frequent. Shifting the blame onto the delivery service and the customer is not a good reflection of your establishment.
