After an extended wait at the nearby DMV tag office, I stopped here for lunch. I ordered a Big Dipper sandwich with kettle chips. Service was quick and pleasant; they didn’t have many other patrons on-site at the time of my visit. This sandwich had savory sliced sirloin and as suggested from the waitress, mozzarella cheese. The sandwich had plenty of fresh toppings that paired well with the protein. The fact that the bread was nicely toasted took the sandwich to another level. The kettle chips were of good quality and met my crunch desire. Dining room note:The dining area had all high top tables and a bar, but there is outside seating for patio style dining.

The food is phenomenal during brunch on Sundays. You gotta get here before they close. The flights are reasonably priced. My favorite out of the list is number 18 and 16 the dissolver and the King Canary dream you gotta come down here and check out the vortex. It’s really good.

Great food, amazing brunch, friendly and helpful staff. One of my fav places to eat in Harrisburg!
Wonderful gluten free options too!
The food was decent. The costs was outrageous for the quantity of food. $30 for 1 beer, half a pita with a side of slaw.

I have never had a bad experience here. The beer selection always has something for everyone, as does the wine selection. The menu is top-notch. Nothing is frozen here; fresh food makes all the difference, and you can taste it in every item they serve. They have indoor and al fresco seating, and soon they will expand into the storefront next door and have even more to offer. I am sure it will meet the high standards already in place. Stop by for a pint and a bite; you'll be glad you did.

Food is good but overpriced for the portions provided. My table ordered 2 different sandwiches and both were only half the sandwich. For $18, I expect a whole sandwich. Steak pita is like meat you get from arbys, not sliced steak. House made chips are very good but side salad was small and weird. What they used for lettuce was just cut into 2 pieces and definitely needed to be chopped smaller. There was also some kind of vegetable relish on it (zucchini maybe) that had a strange seasoning on it. Flat breads were good but barely even personal size. We also ordered the pimento cheese which was good but only came with 6 bread slices. We ran out of bread before we ran out of cheese and asked for more bread. We were surprised to see the added charge for bread on the receipt. Desserts were also small for $15. Four of us got 2 small bites each. If you just want a soda, all they have is bottled so you pay a high price and no refills. Service was fine. Place was a little busy to only have one person manning. Definitely sticker shock when we got the bill, was not expecting over $150 for lunch for 4 people at a bar (a nice bar, but still a bar).

Tried Vortex Bottle Shop for the first time today. I ordered the Portobello Piece with the side broccoli salad and it was EVERYTHING!!! The Portobello Piece was so flavorful and had the right amount of mushrooms. I don’t know what sauce it is that was used but it tasted AMAZING!!! I especially LOVE that they have gluten-free options because having a gluten allergy prevents me from eating at many restaurants. Now the broccoli salad was also packed with flavor. It had raisins which I HATE, but all the flavors came together and I devoured it all INCLUDING THE RAISINS!!! My only negative comment is that this food experience ended after my last bite. 😭😭😭 This is now one of my spots!!! Can’t wait to try other menu items.

Menu had plenty of choices, great wine specials, food came out quick and delicious. Gluten free options for almost every menu item. (And the gluten free alternatives were so good!!)
We will definitely come back!

Very pricey for portions. Everything costs about $18 bucks. Nachos were good, but only the top layer, the rest was just stale chips. Steak steak pita tasted like Arby’s meat and was $20 bucks with a tiny side salad of only tomatoes and onions. Service was excellent and place was clean, will return for drinks but will eat somewhere first.

The BLT here is amazing. It’s unique with the added house bacon jam & cilantro ranch on toasted sourdough. Plenty of beer & wine selections. Great spot for apps, glass of wine and a yap session with your bestie!
