Always our favorite for a tasty frozen treat. Banana splits and fruit of the day soft serve, never fail to satisfy!! The appearance and parking lot could use some serious revamping! Looks like it's been abandoned and left to rot for decades.

Hours are 1pm to 8 pm and ice cream is so good. Friendly staff. Love the ice cream here. As good as Goodberry’s in Wake Forest!

The quality of the ice cream has definitely changed. It's cheap tasting and melts super fast (68° outside). They didn't have cones. How can an ice cream shoppe be out of cones? The wait is ridiculous. They have multiple people preparing the ice cream, yet you still have to wait at least 10 minutes or more. The prices for their ice cream is relatively high. I will travel the extra distance to go to Luckys Dairy Bar in Virginia instead of coming back here. McDonald's ice cream tastes better than the ice cream here. If I could leave zero stars, I would.

I admit I'm a little biased because I've been going since childhood. I can also confidently say the quality is supreme, staff changes every year since it is only open seasonally but they were friendly and I was served in a timely manner. One thing to note is there is not a dining area so only to go orders. I will say that the weather would play a part in choosing to go there or not since it is outdoors only with minimal awnings. To be honest it's an exceptional small town ice cream station that locals anticipate it opening each season. Pricing is very reasonable as well. Just a quick good treat for beating the summer heat. ENJOY

I was driving from DC to Charlotte with my daughter. As you can imagine, traffic on 95 can get bad. We both wanted ice cream and needed to use a restroom badly. Freeze Maid does not have a bathroom for customers! I asked if we could use the employee bathroom, which was in a section of the store that would not disrupt the workers but was denied. Bad customer service!
