I admit I'm a little biased because I've been going since childhood. I can also confidently say the quality is supreme, staff changes every year since it is only open seasonally but they were friendly and I was served in a timely manner. One thing to note is there is not a dining area so only to go orders. I will say that the weather would play a part in choosing to go there or not since it is outdoors only with minimal awnings. To be honest it's an exceptional small town ice cream station that locals anticipate it opening each season. Pricing is very reasonable as well. Just a quick good treat for beating the summer heat. I was driving from DC to Charlotte with my daughter. As you can imagine, traffic on 95 can get bad. We both wanted ice cream and needed to use a restroom badly. Freeze Maid does not have a bathroom for customers! I asked if we could use the employee bathroom, which was in a section of the store that would not disrupt the workers but was denied. Bad customer service!

Always loved freeze maid not anymore they changed something it was not the same. I guess they are trying to save money. It was like eating snow no flavor at all even the chocolate was not good. You need to back to the old recipe.

What’s the point in having an ice cream establishment that’s only open on the weekend afternoons and kids are about to get out of school.Never open for service mine as well shut down for good!

Last night we went to Freezer Maid and they only had chocolate ice cream which was no problem. After waiting for about 20 minutes for our order there was a lady that walked up to the window ordered the same thing (chocolate because that was all they had) flirting back and forth with the man inside and received her ice cream in about 3 minutes. What happened to first come first served. 1 stars is for customer service. It has really gone down hill. Not sure if it is still under the same manager or not. Don't think I will be back.

Drove 20 minutes for ice cream. When I arrived a young man very nicely told me that could not take any more customers. I said to him your web site shows your open until 8pm. It is now 7:35. I said that is false advertisement. He said why did you wait until 8 to come get ice cream?Hey... it’s not 8Pm... its 7:35... Really that’s what he said to me.I said don’t you think the employees would like to make money. He said they were high school kids and couldn’t work the hours... I looked up how many hours youth can work . This was a total lie.I have been in the food business for over 30 years. The biggest mistake you can make is not honoring the hours you advertise. I watch him turn away at least 10 people. So they are not open 4-8... they are open only 3 1/2 hours a day . Don’t worry I will not be back as well as several others you turned away. Thanks for showing me that Henderson can use a new soft serve ice cream shop!

SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW!!!!! You can order vanilla ice cream in a cup and will have to WAIT AND STAND 5-10 minutes outside in the HOT SUN. IT'S RIDICULOUS. Plus the little young girls be letting their boyfriends chill on the inside with them in that little side room with the glass windows/door entrance.
