Stopped for a bite to eat around 530pm, 1 porkchop, fried chicken and what looked like BBQ chicken left, I got the fried chicken with green beans and hush puppies. The chicken was decent, but luke warm at best and the hush puppies had a strange taste, kinda like cardboard. I was so disappointed I didn't even eat the green beans.

I love this place great food only issue it's Monday the restaurant did not open till after 11am. I was here last night Sunday and the cook made a awesome breakfast at 5pm one of the best I ever had. I come in on Monday and a different person was working opened up late and when I asked for a pancake 🥞 she told me to kick rocks she ain't cooking anything on the grill. The grill is not even turned on she said. I asked for biscuits and gravy and the same she said I anit cooking anything but what's on the hot table. This is the day after the big boss came in and praised his workers for cooking. Big man said if the customer ask for and we got it we gonna cook it. This lady working Monday morning is completely rude I would have gotten some pork chops but her attitude was so nasty she said if you want breakfast that I should talk to boss man. We'll I don't have his number so I'll just leave this 1 star review right here for him to see how nasty the lady was being. All cuz I asked for a pancake or some gravy come on I spent $27 on Sunday ate 2 different times I love the food. But this Monday blues lady was not having it.

So this restaurant at a local truck stop, it can't be that good right? WRONG. This food smacked me in the face with delicious, fresh fried chicken, fish fry, lima beans (yes, they still exist!), mashed potatoes with buttery taste, cabbage and greens. Joseph, Luke, John, and Philip. So good, had me calling out the disciples. ?.
This place is marked. I'm eating here every time I pass through on 85, and if you want to eat feel good soul cooking, you will too!

Man I was stuck there all weekend in my truck and I ate food ol Southern food all weekend for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They had something different n fresh to eat every time I went to get something. And the prices is great for the amount of food you get!!! To go plates go by weight but they prices with that still beats your local Chinese buffet restaurant that goes by weight by along shot. Overall 5 stars.
