Stopped by when I got off work and ordered a trout special and a dark meat fried chicken dinner with cabbage and baked beans every thing was delicious, this place has been in business for a long time and I hope they don't ever go out of business cause when u have worked hard all day and want a home cooked meal there ain't many choices here in Henderson. Over 60 years in business is an awesome accomplishment!

Easy to drive by, but I'm glad I didn't. Gracious and friendly staff. Food was good. Personally, I wasn't the biggest fan of the pulled pork with the sauce already in it ... I felt it was chopped too fine and the sauce flavor dominated the flavor of the pork ... but that's all relative. Brunswick stew enjoyable and the fried chicken was on point! Enjoyed the mac and cheese as well. Really, really enjoyed the banana pudding. I think the prices are fair,...

Amazing food. And the service for 1st time customers was great. We got to try different things. The barbecue, the hushpuppies as well as the banana pudding where absolutely amazing. We would come back.
