The food was delicious, affordable, and nutritious. We got to spend time with Leon, who shared his awesome life story and how the restaurant came to be. Highly recommend!

The best restaurant we ate at in Highlands NC. Excellent menu to choose from. Best daily fresh cut French Fries. Owner present on site to ensure highest quality experience. And free coffee and hot tea with every meal. .

Travelers from Oklahoma to Notth Carolina, we love this sweet restaurant. The food was outstanding…Susan’s Reuben as good as we had heard. They have an extensive really good menu. Be sure and say hello to new owners Juan and his wife. ❤️

If you're looking for a place in Highlands to have breakfast or lunch, especially to bypass the long lines and the wait at local breakfast places, YOU MUST COME TO DON LEON'S. The food is fresh, priced right, and did I mention you don't have to wait! Not even a 1 minute drive on Dillard Road and you're there. Free unlimited coffee is a perk! Don Leon's is the place to go in town!

Great find off the main drag (downtown) in Highland's. The owners are lovely (married couple in their 80's) and had a sandwich shop back in the day in Highlands. We got the burger and gyro sandwich. Burger was juicy and the gyro meat was tender and plentiful. Worth a stop for sure.

I came by last month with friends. I spoke with the owner and he's very friendly gentleman. The Brunswick stew was excellent. The restaurant was clean and overall all staffs were great. I came from Hayesville and I'll come back. Thanks Don.

I worked at an authentic Greek restaurant in the 80’s and this was the first gyro I have had since then that met my expectations! Delicious! Highly recommend!
