I stopped in to treat myself for my birthday. Beautiful setting to match stunning looking pastries. There is seating indoors and on the lovely veranda. I was quite intimidated by what to choose and the gentleman behind the counter did not acknowledge my presence so I just perused the selections wondering if perhaps the place was invitation only and I had just wandered into a private club (there was only one other patron reading a book and drinking coffee). I finally just picked what looked like a simple ingredient item and ask if I could purchase something. He nodded and I pointed the item out. I asked if they had coffee and he poured a cup. He placed both items on a tray and pushed it in my direction, gave me a total and I completed the transaction. I asked if there was cream (he pointed to a nearby counter.). I asked if it was ok to take the tray, etc outside and he said said yes. It was all very awkward to the point that I looked down to make sure I was still dressed nicely and didn’t look homeless! The pastry was very rich (I would have loved to take half home but didn’t want to interact (bother?) with the man behind the counter again so my tasty, pricey pastry was left behind. Four starts for beauty and taste but would honestly give one star for hospitality and customer service. #birthdayfail
