We had an excellent dining experience, thanks to Casey’s outstanding service. He was incredibly attentive and made sure we felt well taken care of throughout the evening. For dinner, I enjoyed the pheasant, which was absolutely delicious, while my husband had the ribeye—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Our son ordered the sirloin, but it wasn’t quite to our liking. Casey handled it with professionalism and care, ensuring it was promptly corrected. His warm and accommodating nature truly elevated our experience, making our evening both enjoyable and memorable.

Nate and Natalie are awesome. Such great drinks and conversation. We were able to walk in mid afternoon after a late lunch down the street. We were provided amazing service, amazing drinks and a superb atmosphere.

Stopped in for a late lunch and had a great time, though we had to wait a bit for a table. In the meantime, we did get a seat and were able to enjoy a cocktail. Great vintage vibe in the main part of the dining room. All of our meals were good, the kids really got a kick out of the mini (room service style) ketchup bottles. The hotel has their own branded gin they serve, which after lunch we went to the local ABC liquor store to pick up. Great Lunch!

We stopped in for a drink while we waited for a table at Highlands Tavern. The drinks were delicious, and Stephan and Brooke were fabulous. We will be back next time we visit Highlands!

Our server Luke was an absolute delight! He made wonderful recommendations, and was very accommodating and attentive! The serving world needs more people like him. Luke makes a heck of a drink too!!!

We were visiting from out of town and I can not say enough great things about our time at Hummingbird. Luke was our server and he made sure our experience was amazing. We are already planning our next trip back.

Super cozy, drinks and food were delicious, the braised short rib pasta and mushrooms was to die for. Get the bread basket with whipped butter.

Luke was our server at last night's delicious dining experience. He was seemingly playing host, runner and server so it did take time for our orders to be taken. We arrived shortly after 5 so had to enjoy appetizers and drinks for the hour until the kitchen opened at 6. Enjoyed probably the best homemade pecan pie I've ever had, with vanilla bean ice cream and a trout dip with crackers while we played cards with our daughter and sipped on tasty cocktails. Jason, the manager was welcoming and incredibly hospitable and took time to visit with several tables, making eye contact, engaging with patrons and making everyone feel at home. Stellar management because of the efficiency and running the front-of-house like a well oiled machine. Hummingbird lounge is a stellar setting complete with comfort, ambience and gives the feeling of a speakeasy and rustic upscale cabin. Comfy chairs and couches are strewn throughout with interesting artwork and artifacts as the fireplace crackled and the Christmas tree lights flickered. The food was topnotch and worth the high price tags ranging from $32-56 per entree. Luke was spread thin so we didn't see him as often as we would've liked, but the overall experience at Hummingbird lounge is decadent. Thank you Jason!

Have stayed here 2 years in a row at the end of August for three nights. Always get the golf package. Includes 1 dinner which is fabulous. This year we stayed in the Luxury Suite. Unbelievable! Treated like royalty. Can't say anything bad about the Inn.
Basically this place is running a "bait and switch'" operation. Don't fall for the advertised 'special' on their own web site... they quote what is to be included and then when you go to check out they charge for those items ( diner for 2, 2 spa treatments and 2 night stay was their April special which I booked) I have been trying to get this resolved since April. Every call I made was met with promises of looking into it without a single return call, over and over again. At this point I'm sure I'm out the extra money but, not that they care, they are out a customer...never again! Be careful and don't fall for this scam!
Stayed for 3 nights in a 2 room cabin (obscenely overpriced) for a tired cabin in the woods. When I walked in the door it smelled musty and felt damp, There was a stand alone dehumidifier already running non-stop in the main room (unsightly & noisy appliance) . The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. Housekeeping does a good job cleaning daily and offer turn down service. The room furniture was definitely outdated and worn out. The service at the pool was not god either. I was told that the Old Edward Inn sells pool & fitness memberships to the local community for a monthly fee. The local members take up the majority of the limited lounge chairs and act as if hotel guests are a nuisance and the members can make you feel unwelcome. The average age of guests has to be in the mid 70’s and up. Very few young families or guests. The service provided by the hotel staff was mixed. They hire much of the working staff from overseas (Jamaica) in some sort of 2 year exchange training program, some are are hard working and some are nonchalant and not very friendly (pool & Madisons restaurant). I had heard good reviews about the in-house dining at Madison’s Restaurant, I experienced poor service and just average food quality. The.spa was very poorly run: My first day we went for foot massages and they had trouble with the sound system and the second day my wife and I went for full body massages and to enjoy the spa make ties (whirlpool & steamrrom): however they had decided to drain the whirlpool so half the amenities were not available. they drained the whirlpool so it was not available. All in all it was a disappointing experience because the service, rooms and amenities were not at all worth the prices they charge. I would not recommend this Inn & Spa for the lack of value and poor service.
We have stayed at many Relais and Chateaux properties and they are definitely our favorite brand. The Old Edwards Inn was very nice like the others. The only negative here is there is no breakfast included and no water is provided in the room or at turn down service. The only option is to purchase a refillable bottle. Madison’s restaurant was good and the town is lovely.
My husband and I popped by the Hummingbird Lounge for a drink last week. Rasheem greeted us warmly and showed us to a cozy table. A Paloma and a glass of wine made for the perfect end to our vacation. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Next time we visit Highlands we hope to stay at The Old Edward’s Inn!
