The Stubborn Bull at Mill Creek

The restaurant staff was friendly but inexperienced. The $60 steak came out over cooked (well instead of medium rare) and the server did not come to the table until after our meal. The view of the creek is actually a view if a parking lot.

The tapas we had was really good. We loved the calamari, the crispy potatoes, the watermelon salad and the beet salad. The 3 scallops were ridiculous for the entree price and likewise the Paella. $68 for two and it barely would feed one person who was hungry. And honestly it wasn't very good. So that is a no go in the future. We will come back for the apps though. Also just FYI, the kitchen is not flexible. They make what they make and do not allow any room to modify for allergies or sensitivities. Our server was Nate. Or misogynistic Nate as my husband started calling him lol He was very warm and helpful to my husband. Short, curt and impatient when it came to me. The difference was astonishing. My husband noticed it right away and asked me if it was evident to me. I said, “Of course, but we women are sadly used to it”. Naturally, I was paying the bill that night and while I did leave 20% I didn't want to. I did tell the manager to get Nate some training but I am not sure the manager (a male) cared either. That kind of thing flows from the top down. Anyway, go for the tapas (they are good sizes) and ignore the entree.

The system had altered our 24 seats reservation for our car group but they were able to sit all of us rather quickly. The food was amazing!!! The only downfall was no kid menu. Definitely would like to try other dishes for the talented chef! Atlanta GA

Went to celebrate my wife’s Birthday. Told 2 separate staff members at the front door to please bring a dessert with a candle and or write something for her birthday. Nothing happened. Very embarrassing. That overshadowed the great food and waiters service. Wonder if the 2 staff members even told our server???

We showed up and were waiting at the hostess stand. Two bartenders saw us and did not acknowledge us. After about 5 minutes we flagged down a waiter and asked if there would be a host/hostess and he said they will soon. The hostess begrudgingly showed up to the stand and just stared at us with a face of displeasure. We said there would be 2. She asked if we had reservations and we did not. She said I’ll have to seat you outside. We asked if the bar was open seating- same sour face from her. We decided to leave because we would rather spend our money elsewhere that wants to have a customer.

Our young server was beyond great. He could not do enough for us. He checked with the kitchen to make sure that items were available. We so hope to see him again!!!

I'm still dreaming of the creme brulee!! Service was great. It was so nice to meet the owner. The paella was spot on. We'll be back!

I am sure our experience is the outlier here, but when we arrived there was no one there to greet us. Despite having a reservation for our anniversary we were seated as close to the kitchen as possible and DIRECTLY in front of a door that went from the kitchen to the porch. Servers were regularly having to squeeze behind my husband to get out. I got the salmon which was pretty salty. Everything else was good. I wish our server had explained the menu to us the same way I heard him explain it to the family beside us at the end of our meal.

Stumbled upon this our first night of our first trip to Highlands. Zach, our waiter, was attentive and his recommendations were spot on. From the roasted poblano soup to the cinnamon bread pudding and everything in between, the food was exceptional. Walking out with one shrimp for our cat back at the hotel was just a plus and example of the service! Wanted to go back for every single meal after! Next trip!

Super rude owner. Luckily our waitress apologized about her and said she is a nightmare. Use to go here all the time but will never return. Neither will anyone in our party.

Patatas bravas were so good! Highly recommend getting these. Our server was knowledgeable and very attentive. We also split the churasco steak was delicious. the presentation could be a little better but overall amazing.
