We celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary with a night out at one of our local favorites The Stubborn Bull . The calamari and elk tenderloin were amazing as usual and our dessert was special for our anniversary! Absolutely delicious!

My wife and I had the most wonderful meal and experience! The entire staff gave my wife special attention to avoid her allergies and were so kind and understanding. The sea bass was perfectly seared and so moist and flavorful and met all allergy requirements. The oysters came with the most unique and flavorful sauce. I highly recommend the scallop and octopus tapas each having a unique and most delicious set. We will certainly be back and highly recommend this restaurant.

Great new restaurant in Highlands. Everyone has been talking about this place and we have twice. Both times we ordered something very unique and we were not disappointed. The chef is phenomenal here and the dishes have so much flavor. Tad was a great server who kept me laughing and took great care of us.

Perfect dinner! Yes, I know red wine would pair better but was in the mood for a beer :)

We loved our dinner here!! Carter was our waiter and he was the best! Very attentive but not smothering. We had the soup, oysters, short ribs, curry chicken, potatoes and calamari. It was all amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant!

As always superb. Kevin has things in the kitchen in hand and his new soup was interestingly delicious. Kiki was ever vigilant as she the monitored the tables to inquire and solve the rare issues. As expected thank goodness.

Love the concept, decore and service. Staff was very friendly and attentive even though it was a busy night. Salad was too wet and dressing was skimpy. Seafood Paella was very good. Large enough for two with plenty left to take home.

The level of quality has declined at SB which is disappointing. From the clutter at reception, including a wine fridge at the front door, Skelton laying in a chair and other knickknacks about to the addition of tables in the bar all change the overall ambience. The open kitchen has become more cluttered with boxes, etc nearly to the ceiling which are all highlighted with the bright lights. The bread service has changed and no longer tasteful. The appearance of the food has become common and the rush to serve has overshadowed the art. Sorry to say the transformation from “seed” to “bull” may be literal. Unfortunately, based on the response to our review, the entrepreneurs are not interested in comments on the dining experience. Ultimately each patron has a right to their opinion which should be respected by the managers.

Mediocre service with basic food. the stars are honestly for the cocktail and their attention to the product. everything else was fine but for the price point it was subpar service and subpar food. Would not recommend and would have rather gone elsewhere.

Overall disappointing experience. The food was tasty but our service was very lacking for a nicer restaurant. Our server was unfriendly, didn't great us, walked up to “take our order” without any welcome, when asked what he recommended he responded with “everything is good here”, didn't check on how the food was, and didn't say thank you when we left. Hopefully management will address this service issue and the experience will improve.

We chose Stubborn Bull cause we know this restaurant and their menu - NOWHERE did they advertise that on Valentines Day there would be a special menu. The special menu was below average and did not enhance our Valentine's Day. Had we known there was a special menu and not their delicious regular menu - we would not have gone! The Valentine Menu was overly created and below their regular daily delicious menu

This is my fourth time dining at this restaurant. Our service from Cade was top notch. I do wish very much that they would add more vegetarian options, especially when they have a limited menu for a holiday. I always appreciate the ability to make a reservation at this restaurant when others are closed or full, especially considering it is in my top three of Highlands restaurants.

If you’re looking for great food and drink, great friendly service, and a relaxing vibe, give The Stubborn Bull a try. We’ve been coming consistently since they opened as Stubborn Seeds last July. The owners Kiki and Clarissa are awesome and tonight our server Leica, like all of our previous servers, provided prompt, friendly service.Highlands has many great restaurants, make sure you come enjoy Stubborn Bull. If you’re like us, you won’t be disappointed!P.S. Can’t wait for their next restaurant to open on Main St - The Stubborn Buddha!
