Our family really enjoyed a wonderful meal and time together at this elegant and rustic treasure. The food was delicious and the service was very good. Highly recommended!

Called numerous times and no one answered and their website does not work. Don't think this place exists still

I am very disappointed, my boss had made reservations at this place for dec, 22. We all arrived on time and the place was closed no lights on, doors locked. Not just our group but another group showed up for their reservation as well. No one from this restaurant bothered to call us to say sorry we are not going to be open that day or I'm sorry to inconvenience you but you may need to book at another restaurant. Thankfully another restaurant took us on short notice in the same area.

Closed down apparently. Made reservations for several weeks out and showed up last night to cones blocking off the entrance. Yikes!! May want to call your reservations and let them know. Best of luck in these tough times.

Worst experience ever TWICE! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone especially if you have children. They HATE having children in their dining areas. There are just too many other good places to enjoy in Highlands. Don’t waste your time or money.

OUTSTANDING! The owner, Jason worked with us in advance to create a menu especially for us. He listened to us and made fabulous suggestions. Upon arrival, our table was set beautifully. The exceptionally prepared, delicious food was delivered at the perfect temperature, which for a large party, can be challenging and often not accomplished. Attentive and polite service from Beth and team! We had a wonderful, flawlessly executed experience! We highly recommend The Log Cabin for any special events. The Log Cabin is our new favorite in Highlands. Spectacular job!

Atmosphere is adorable but the Thanksgiving menu was sub-par. The main dish tasted like it was made a few days in advance & heated up. The host was discourteous, but that's pretty standard.

Great food and nice atmosphere. A must try when you’re in Highlands!

We were appalled at the flagrant and reckless disregard for public safety in the staff’s failure to use face masks as mandated by Highlands executive order. Wait staff we observed had masks pulled down under their chins, while the rude host wore none at all. Upon inquiring about COVID protocols, the host, Jason, invited us to leave. So we did. I can only imagine the obvious disregard for safety protocols where the public can see it must carry over to the kitchen where they cannot (hand washing, cleanliness and food safety). We did not feel safe. There was no welcome whatsoever when we arrived and the host lacked both professionalism and basic hospitality skills. Menu looked great and we were on vacation spending mode so it’s their loss!

Excellent food and service. We started with Caesar salad and focaccia bread. Both were excellent. We were thrilled to see pheasant on the menu, as it is not easy to find. It tasted delicious and was artfully served. Our waiter, Jeremiah was pleasant and attentive.

See the attached NOTE below before deciding to go to The Log Cabin! The star of the restaurant is the building itself. The Log Cabin is slightly difficult to find as it's behind (and associated with, I believe) the Highlands Inn Lodge. We've driven past this location countless times without appreciating the Log Cabin was back behind the hotel. The Log Cabin is a real log cabin and it is period-correct in construction and interior elements. There have been several additions but the cozy log cabin feel has been largely maintained. There is a warm fire just inside the front door and we loved the feeling inside. The menu (we were there for lunch) was varied and ranged from typical lunch fare to more involved entrees. They also have an extensive wine list. I ordered the quesadilla and I was very happy with my choice. Service was average and pricing was also average...But we enjoyed our meal and the location and will return. NOTE: THERE WERE TWO SERVERS WORKING AND BOTH CHOSE TO WEAR THEIR FACE MASKS PULLED DOWN BELOW THEIR CHINS RENDERING MASK EFFECTIVENESS AT ZERO. WE WERE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THAT SITUATION!

What a treat - from the originality and deliciousness of the food to the wait staff and ambiance. Such a fair price!

We recently stayed in Highlands for a full week eating at a different restaurant for almost every meal. The dinner and service we received at the Log Cabin was easily our favorite. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic place! Jim and I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and every part of our meal - the appetizers, the French onion soup and our entrees were exceptional! The staff was very attentive and we really enjoyed meeting Jason the Owner. This restaurant is now one of our absolute favorites.

Food was fantastic.Owner denies Covid19 hence no one wore a mask. It wasn’t crowded and they don’t have a bar, so I guess the risk was worth it.
