The vegetarian (vegan?) raw-flaw was fresh and flavorful

The owner of this place is the best. We come to highlands a few times of year and always make it a priority to have lunch here or pick up sandwiches. Love seeing the teenagers helping out behind the counter! Seriously couldn’t be better!

What a wonderful cafe! My husband and I had the soup of the day which was chicken noodle. It was a rainy day in Highlands so the soup was a perfect meal - so fresh and tasty. We also purchased cheese spread, crackers and for dessert, oatmeal sandwich cookies. Everything was amazing! The owner and her mother were so kind. We will definitely return the next time we are in Highlands.

Delicious and fresh! The Secret Garden is a cute little spot offering fresh sandwiches, soups, and more. The Dill pasta salad was incredible while awaiting our excellent chicken salad and vegetable sandwiches. Sitting outside relaxing for a good meal right in town is the perfect way to break for lunch. You could see everything being made to order and the quality definitely shows through in the taste.

The.Yummiest.Lunch!! I love the gobbler, but honestly, everything is good! I could seriously eat there every day. The panini is toasted so perfectly that I don't think it could ever get soggy. The owner and her sweet momma are always fun to see too!

More of a deli type place with 5 small indoor seats to eat. It’s a pretty tight fit but they do have outdoor seating for when it’s nice in the summertime. Too cold to eat outside so we found a snug place to eat in our sandwich. We ordered and split The Gobbler and while the sandwich was simple, the flavor was incredible. The best part of the sandwich was the bread - holy cow that was the best bread I’ve ever had on a sandwich. Definitely with quick bite if you’re hungry. We also tried the pasta salad that was available in little containers and it was also SO good. Highly recommend this place.

Very good food. Chicken salad on crescent was very good. Pork sandwich only as a salad was wonderful. Limited drinks and chip options. The patio was enjoyable to dine on.

Their soup was so fabulous I was sorry I’d offered to share a bowl. The pork sandwich had nice crunch and well balanced flavors. It was especially helpful that they offer gluten-free bread for my husband.

Absolutely the best place in Highlands to get a quick bite to eat! Huge portions that taste great at a fair price! We go often & will continue to do so!

Parking: Park on Oak or 5th Street. No problem.
