We had such a great meal here and I just want to give kudos to Jonathan the sommelier who was perhaps one the nicest individuals we’ve met and made our visit top-shelf. We can’t say enough about how excellent he is at his job. Thank you!

Great food! Great service! The wine garden is lovely but the music is absolutely awful. Completely ruins the experience. It was also odd to be celebrating October fest at a restaurant like this… seemed like a very casual club vibe combined with elegant garden vibe and they don’t match. I would expect more calming music and decor at this kind of restaurant.

I’ve been to the wine garden for years. Beautiful atmosphere and the food/drink is nice. But last week we had a truly horrible experience. I asked our server about two white wines by the glass ($17 and $19 each) and she suggested a third one that’s a weekly by the glass special. The three of us liked it and had two each. The bill was $350! Turns out she failed to inform us that the wine special was $55 per glass. She shrugged then lied that she did warn us. A neighboring table overheard this and said she almost got them too. The restaurant did little to address this mugging in broad daylight (next to a very nice stream, again beautiful atmosphere that perhaps is carrying this place). This wine was triple the price of any other white. Drinkers beware!

Amazing the only problem was that the burger had only cheese and patty.

We were out wandering about to and stopped by for a quick drink that turned into a lovely lunch. I talked my lovely bride into sharing the smoked trout BLT and it was amazing. Came with a house salad so fresh you would have thought you were in Half Moon Bay. Service was terrific. Highly recommend

The food was very good and tasty. The service was great too but I couldn’t help but notice that everyone in service was poc! And all the guests are white?! Why not having someone white to serve too?! It was very awkward. It felt like 1850s. 😠 I really hope the owner is black otherwise what in the world is going on?!

We were blessed with gorgeous weather, but the elements that could have messed up the atmosphere made everything over the top. We arrived early to make sure that we could get a table for two without waiting. Tesafaye was our waiter and he was incredible. Kind, prompt, and so helpful answering our questions about the entertainment in the lounge inside the Old Edwards Inn. Food was delicious! Salads are fresh, unique and large servings. We ordered the pasta bolognese and it was the healthiest and most delicious version we’ve had in a while….comparing it with La Grotta (Atlanta)…which is great, but most likely more calories!!
We’ll be back for sure! Have been away from Highlands too long!

We tried to come to the wine garden with our dog and were turned away because she was not a service animal. Every restaurant and shop we went to while in Highlands was extremely dog friendly and even encouraged us to bring our dog in. I would not recommend this place not only because they are not dog friendly but also because the staff were not welcoming either. (Picture of Daisy for reference on how she is at restaurants, obviously not taken at old Edwards Inn)
Elegant spot to grab a drink and a snack. The gardens are beautiful, and it is tucked away in the side of the Old Edward’s in. The trout dip was nice, the ginless tonic great, service great as well. There was a sudden rain storm, and the staff got umbrellas to escort everyone into the hotel until it passed. Will come again!

Haven’t been back since 2016, and it was just as I had remembered. I quite literally stopped in Highlands JUST for lunch here. Perfect setting for a nice caesar salad & rose listening to some hot gossip and the trickle of their water features outside.

Hidden Gem! What a great place to relax and have a glass of French Chablis at the bar while waiting for a table in the Garden. We opted to venture into the Madison and exquisite Old Edward’s Inn and met Eric the concierge who guided us up by the Hummingbird Lounge To the Rooftop bar and grill. Wonderful food, excellent service.

A mid-afternoon summer rain shower led us to this hidden gem tucked within the gardens of the historic Old Edwards Inn. Though technically inside the property’s perimeter, the Wine Garden feels like its own peaceful retreat. The small covered bar kept us dry while still letting us enjoy the sounds and scents of the rain.
There are plenty of charming wooden tables scattered throughout the garden, making it a lovely spot for a quiet meal or light bites on a sunny day. We ordered a couple of drinks to pass the time, and the bartender was friendly and helpful with suggestions.
This is a wonderful place to slow down, sip something special, and relax. The menu features exquisite wines, beautifully crafted cocktails, and small plates perfect for an afternoon escape.

The service and the food where amazing. Our waiter was new but she did an amazing job, I won’t mention her name but you know who you are. You work at an amazing restaurant, good luck.
