Excellent meal, top notch service, awesome wine list. They even allowed us to add two guests at the last minute. The sommelier knows the wines and makes great suggestions. The servers know the menu, super professional. This is a wonderful choice.

Been there twice recently. Food was outstanding both times. Best trout we've had this summer! The waitress is young and can use some social graces and fine tuning. Best dinner so far this summer!
Excellent as usual. My favorite veal medallions with crawfish and frozen peanut butter pie. It's to die for. Basil martini one of my favorites to drink. But they have a great wine list to choose from. Veal schnitzel my husband favorite and apple strudel
My wife and I arrived at 5:50 pm for our 6:00pm reservation. We waited 15 minutes to be seated. No server acknowledged us. Four other couples arrived after us. They were all waited on while we waited for service. After one half hour and two servers continually walking by us we left. We will never waste our time or money at this restaurant.
Oh my gosh! This restaurant has been our #1 favorite for the past 29 years. We just celebrated our 45th Anniversary there last evening. Now we know why we keep going back time and time again. We were seated in a quieter dining room, where many couples were dining. Our server, Daniel, was so attentive and never once rushed us between cocktails, appetizer, and ordering our main course. We both selected the mountain trout with roasted potatoes and grilled asparagus. Very large portion of fish and perfectly pan sautéed. We were also offered a dessert to share as a special Anniversary treat. ( we took it home with us!) We have had so many delicious dinners there. Among our favorites ( besides their trout) is their beef short ribs and weiner schnitzel. There are many great restaurants here in Highlands NC, but Wolfgang's continues to stay on their course of delivering excellence to their diners. Hope to get back this fall before leaving for the season.
We've been coming to Sky Valley for 6 years and drive up the mountain to Highlands specifically to go to Wolfgang's for our Anniversary. Every year they treat us with a stupendous meal never fails! This year we celebrated 50 yrs of marriage. The Chef is amazing the staff as well. They came out singing happy anniversary and sparklers on a cake. Highly recommend!!
The Wienerschnitzel was as good as I've had. Our server was wonderful. The atmosphere was good no noise you can actually converse. She took extra care of me, knowing I had just finished cancer treatments
I expected this restaurant to be good but the food and service truly blew me away. To date, this is still the best meal I've ever had in Highlands. Everything from the food, the service to the ambiance was truly amazing. Whenever I go through Highlands I don't even consider going anywhere else to eat.

We went here for a birthday last year and had difficulty booking. Recently I left a message to book a table for two. Today I called to confirm and was told by Jackie that there was no record of the reservation. Very poor way to run a business! We will go elsewhere in the future.

It was a grand slam, the food, the service, the timing and the atmosphere. We had 4 people in our party and this review was unanimous.

Recommended dishes: Wedge Salad, Wiener Schnitzel with Potatoes and Vegetables, French Onion Soup
We started out with onion soup and a blue cheese wedge which was an excellent choice, My trout was superb. Our waiter Jake was very attentive and would come by checking that our meal was all we wanted it to be and it was. My husband had the salmon and loved it. My husband likes his potatoes and Jake advised he could get that instead of couscous tomatoes and olives. Dessert was chocolate cake a la mode and was amazing. Servings of everything are plentiful! My compliments to the Chef!!
We are full summer visitors here and have been to all restaurants in town. One must always get a reservation everywhere first. Wolfgang's is a regular for us. The restaurant is pleasant with 4 dining areas. The staff is attentive but not overbearing giving a "take your time and enjoy" pace. The drinks are meticulously made and the wine list is extensive. The daily specials or suggestions for food and drink are a good place to start. Ask the waiter for advice on items and portions. Daniel served us twice lately and he is an expert. The food is very good and priced just below the most expensive spots, which is nice-still it's expensive. Our last visit included a coconut shrimp appetizer that was sumptuous and their delicious shrimp and lobster bisque, which was my wife's entire dinner. The caesar salad is nice and simple with a homemade dressing that may be the best in town. I had an excellent Filet accompanied by great asparagus and mac and cheese. My sister's pork chop was perfectly cooked (not over-cooked as we get at most places) and tasty. The trout was also very tasty and perfectly cooked. All meals are large and filling, so order accordingly or share appetizers and salads. Save room for the apple strudel with ice cream as it is the best anywhere. Hint: share it. Overall this is really a comfort food restaurant with over the top sides, desserts and adult beverages.
