I come to NC every year and make sure to stop by and get a super shrimp burger!
It can't be beat buddy I promise you. The crab cakes are the best I've ever had. Shrimp is so fresh and the hushpuppies dipped in the crab dip is ridiculous. This is my first stop when I come home.
Okay, I know its a food truck, but this place is awesome. The shrimp sandwich is amazing and you get so much shrimp. My wife and I got two shrimp burgers each and single side of fries. We ended up wishing we had only gotten a single sandwich to split. I know the Big Oak is the traditional place to go in Salter Path, and I got nothing bad to say about them at all. But these guys at the Captain's Kitchen are really knocking it out of the park(ing lot)!! HA!!!
Food is great...but come on...why such tiny slaw cups? It's not that expensive. Seafood requires lots of slaw!!
Great service .Recommend trying the shrimp burger.
The food in general is good and they are wicked quick. The shrimp burger itself isn’t what I imagined but it was okay. Definitely expected better based on the advertising of “voted best shrimp burger.” The portions are great and you won’t leave hungry. They are cash only but have an ATM next to truck. I’ll be back to try other things.

The food is good. However, it is always super greasy!!! Food needs to be drained properly!
By far the best fried shrimp we've had in the area. Got a combo with flounder and shrimp and it was enough food to feed 4 people. it was hot, fresh, and delicious. Also the best fries anywhere in the area.
If I didn't live 300 miles away, I'd eat here every day. I dream of their shrimp burgers and hush puppies. And they have the BEST cole slaw.
