Food was delicious! Best bread and cinnamon butter I've ever had. My husband said it was the best steak he's ever had. 10/10! Great anniversary dinner.
The food had a nice presentation but was lacking everywhere else. The chicken parm. Was over cooked and the mashed potatoes were off, I'm not sure if they were old or had too much sour cream added in them? I ordered the pennii pasta with shrimp witch were very fresh. Unfortunately the cream sauce was runny with very little flavor and a slice of bread would have been nice. On a very positive note, a 10 on the cinnamon butter.
Food was good, service was pleasant but very slow. Not just the arrival of the food but acknowledgement from the server. Also wine was not opened at the table, but brought to the table corked - Seemed below par based on the prices.
We decided to check out the “best steak” in the area as voted on by readers in an online publication. It was not. The T-bone and ribeye were average and thinner cuts compared to what you would find at other steakhouses in the area. The service is great, the restaurant is huge and we didn't feel like we were on top of the people at the next table. This restaurant won't break the bank. Two steaks, shared appetizer, and two drinks was $120 including tip.
First time at Chop House 101 steaks were outstanding service was great location easy to get in and out. Prices reasonable excellent value. We plan to return soon.
Overall good experience. I ordered to porterhouse steak. Next time would only do the filet mignon as that was my favorite side of the porterhouse. That being said the steak was well cooked and tasty. French fries were 5/5. I’ve ordered a lot of ahi tuna apps in the past and this was not my favorite 2/5. I personally wouldn’t order it again there, the tuna was on the bland side. Service was close to a 3/5. Our app and bread dishes were never cleared from the table. The food server put my wife’s entree plate down half way OFF the table (not being dramatic) and walked away without clearing any other dishes. The whole service experience was nothing special but not terrible. I suggest making a reservation on a Friday night as it was busy. I would go again over all.
I would have given it a full 5 stars but my sides were a bit bland. Otherwise the ribeye was so good. Left me craving more. Will most definitely be going again.
First time visiting met old friends there for lunch.
Food was very good, will try Dinner there soon! We wish Concord had a downtown Restaurant like this!
July 2025 Update!
Had a nice Anniversary Date, great food and a quiet atmosphere. They need to plate their dinner Salads rather than the small bowls that spill.
Macy was very professional and attentive!
First time visiting Chophouse 101 in Kannapolis, and I definitely enjoyed the experience! The server was very attentive and kind to our group of 4, and the food was pretty good! The garlic mashed potatoes and nachos were standouts to me. The ribeye was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. The ceasar salad was alright, but average. They have a wide variety of food options to fit really any appetite. I would certainly come back and try more good food! They served complementary rolls with cinnamon & cinnamon whipped butter spread, which was tasty.
I definitely suggest allowing some extra time for parking if around dinner time (I think there was an event going on in Kannapolis at the time).
Look forward to next time!
It was wonderful to have the meals spaced out. There was no rush for the table to be flipped over. It allowed those who were with us to really enjoy a social evening out. A real gem in the heart of Kannapolis and right by the Gem theatre. Makes it a wonderful date night venue.

Sadly the meat was under seasoned, overcooked and chewy. The sides were nice but beware of upcharges for condiments. Also strangely upcharges for swapping an ingredient in a mixed drink that's normally less expensive. While not uncommon for higher-end establishments to upcharge everything, when the meal and service are mediocre it's like adding insult to injury.
We had an excellent meal. Ribeye was delicious and perfectly cooked. Our server, Martin, was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed!
Always a great meal at a reasonable price.
The food was fantastic! The service was wonderful. We had a very enjoyable time.
Have eaten here before and enjoyed it. This time I ordered Ribeye and it was inedible. It was loaded with fat and gristle, not marbling. I ate less than half, then gave up. Drinks were good. Ceviche appetizer was good, made differently than I am used to, but still good. Our server did a nice job.
