I don’t understand why, but he LOVES party house cake! This morning I called them to order a cake! (I know it wouldn’t/couldn’t be custom made since it was just a couple of hours notice! I was ok with that)!
The girl said that their premade cakes had pink or purple on them. I asked if they had anything a little bit more masculine! She stated that they had a blue flower one! I agreed to that and said I would pick it up after 1:00pm.
At 3:15, I entered to business and this nice young man asked if he could help me! I told him I was there to pick up a cake for Debbie! He brought it to me, opened it up to let me look at it! 😳. Now, this is a BIRTHDAY cake! I told him that wasn’t what the girl,Maddie, described to me! The “man” that was decorating cakes interrupted the conversation and said that I had ordered a plain cake with “Happy Birthday Darrell”. 😳. When I told him that this was ugly and looked like a baby boy shower cake, he said “that’s what you wanted”!!!!!!! I informed him that this happens EVERY time I order a cake from them….usually, it’s the wrong name! He said “he didn’t need customers like me” and that “he didn’t need my business”. He had enough of them!
So…..what are your thoughts about this cake? FYI…..the piping is baby blue!

We have been ordering cakes from JP since the 90's. Today I picked up a cake for my birthday. It was ordered as black icing as the base. We specifically said we did not want any white icing... fast forward to tonight.. we go to cut the cake and it is horrible... cake was still raw in the middle and white icing was underneath the black icing. We definitely were disappointed and wasted money on a whole a cake.

Got some cake squares and two german chocolate mini cakes. We always get the cake squares, the german chocolate tasted just like what my mom used to make. Thanks for bringing back a wonderful memory.

I have loved the Party House cakes for years They have always been delicious and the texture and moisture perfect. Yesterday I bought our favorite, white cake, and it was terrible. They have changed the recipe and the cake is dry the texture is rough and it falls apart when you cut it. It also had no taste. The only think I can compare it to would be a cheap box cake. We could not eat it and jut threw it away. Very sad.

Ordered a cherry lemon Sundrop pound cake . When I arrived I was given a sheet cake. The man who took my order said I didn't order cherry lemon pound cake. Get some one who
understands his customers when they call you place orders. Then went over to the grill side and twice received soggy hot dog buns we couldn't eat. Have been coming to Party house and grill for over 20 years and never have I ever had such a bad experience. So disappointing.
Been going to Party House for 20 plus years. Ordered 2 pies for Thanksgiving, one was molded. Call and spoke with Manager, wouldn’t give another pie or refund. Bad business said he didn’t mind losing the business from me!!! $15 for 2 pies! Don’t recommend any longer!!!!

I ordered almost $400 worth of cupcakes cream horns and a cake ,the cream horns were hard and the cupcakes were smashed together in the boxes so tight that when taken out the icing from one came with the other and don't get me started about the cake smh .This was for my sons wedding, I used to highly recommend party house but never ever again

I ordered a birthday cake for my wife. It was a white cake with chocolate frosting. I was never told that there was a $3 charge for chocolate frosting. When I placed tge order and said I wanted chocolate frosting I was never told that it would be an extra charge. I asked them about it when I went to puck up the cake. When I said that I was never told about the extra charge, they just shrugged their shoulders. They never took responsibility for their mistake. I have been getting my cake from the Party House since moving to Kannapolis 3 years ago but will never send any business their way again.
