Ate here growing up in the 1950's. Recently returned to the area and was very pleased to find it still in business. It has weathered the test of time and provides something difficult to find now-a-days, excellent non-processed food, good value, pleasant staff.

Been coming here for decades since my Uncle took me here.
The cheeseburger is somehow affordable. The onion rings are perfect. This place IS North Carolina. It is hard to understand the anti American stickers over the hood of the grill. Won't stop me from coming back, I hope they can survive the coming times.

We love the food here and our favorite waitress, but I do wish that someone in charge would update the website when they are closed. You check it, it says OPEN, when they are in fact CLOSED.

My husband ordered a hot dog. Ask it be fixed with all fixings but lite slaw. When it came out had lots of slaw no chili no onions
When ask to fixed waitress was very rude. When he told her what was wrong she got very huffy. He told her to take it away she threw in trash. Never asked if he needed more tea did ask me. When I asked her to remove it from ticket she said you will have to ask up front. She was so rude . Not be returning.

At least they got the coffee and eggs right. The biscuits and gravy were ALRIGHT, but judging by the rest of my food, I wouldn't doubt the gravy was heated up out of a can. The sausage was undercooked, and the hash browns...that was the kicker. They were undercooked and, in my opinion, didn't even look like actual potatoes. When I mentioned my dissatisfaction of the hash browns, the waitress simply said "you need to ask for them crispy." No. I don't. Never going back.
