Fantastic food. From the chicken pastry to the BBQ, it was wonderful. The religious references and artifacts were a bit much, but the food really rocked. We’ll be back.
I'm a local several times per month customer, not affiliated with the restaurant in any way. Although it's advertised as a BBQ restaurant, this is not the best example of Eastern North Carolina pit cooked BBQ, in my opinion. Still, it is better than most of its competition and a lot of regular customers swear by it. If you are new to ENC BBQ, I suggest trying a BBQ sandwich with slaw for your first time. Now, for the good: Fried chicken, collards, cabbage, green beans, and chicken pastry represent some of the best Eastern North Carolina country cooking available. I haven't found anything on the menu that is not good. The service is good and the prices are fair. If you happen to be in the area on Friday and Saturday, the flounder plates are delicious.
Warning: If you are a regular I-95 traveler, Stormin' Norman's is likely to become a regular stop for you when you travel.

I’m a truck driver there’s easy access from 95 workers nice and polite vibe is good but the food is not what I was expecting.
I ordered to go half rack ribs they fall out of bones which is I like but ribs is full of fat it’s hard to find meat and I ordered side of greens I found plastic band.

I’m not sure what was worse the bland tasteless food or the dirty floor that your feet stick to. We trashed our food and left.

I would encourage everyone to visit them. We took extra plates home and even shared one of them with one of my best friends. She also raved about how good it was. She is planning to make a visit with her family. And I am very, very thrilled to say they are not ashamed of spreading the Good News that Jesus is Lord. My husband and I enjoyed them so much that we are taking our youngest daughter there for her birthday. ????

Ok place family run service was very pleasant and food was decent. Coleslaw is very chopped almost like it’s grated so it was not what I expected but appreciated that is was mayo diary. I ordered 2 dishes chicken n ribs platter. Fried chicken was delicious but I don’t like the taste of the pulled pork and the ribs tasted as if they were just baked in the oven n had no bbq smokiness.i assume the bbq style food was probably better..
Lemonade had so much sugar beyond sweet.
I thought NC was supposed to have the best BBQ in the country so I said lets stop at this place off the interstate. BBQ sandwich was the same as the kind you get in the tub at the walmart and I ordered a large diet coke given the option of 2 different sizes. I received a very large cup of ice and 1 can of diet coke. dissappointed.
