I'm a local several times per month customer, not affiliated with the restaurant in any way. Although it's advertised as a BBQ restaurant, this is not the best example of Eastern North Carolina pit cooked BBQ, in my opinion. Still, it is better than most of its competition and a lot of regular customers swear by it. If you are new to ENC BBQ, I suggest trying a BBQ sandwich with slaw for your first time. I would encourage everyone to visit them. We took extra plates home and even shared one of them with one of my best friends. She also raved about how good it was. She is planning to make a visit with her family. And I am very, very thrilled to say they are not ashamed of spreading the Good News that Jesus is Lord. My husband and I enjoyed them so much that we are taking our youngest daughter there for her birthday. ????
Ok place family run service was very pleasant and food was decent. Coleslaw is very chopped almost like it’s grated so it was not what I expected but appreciated that is was mayo diary. I ordered 2 dishes chicken n ribs platter. Fried chicken was delicious but I don’t like the taste of the pulled pork and the ribs tasted as if they were just baked in the oven n had no bbq smokiness.i assume the bbq style food was probably better..
