This place has a special spot in my heart as we have been going there for ice cream for almost 20 yrs. I've never had their pizza, so I can't attest to that, but the ice cream is very good.

We grabbed pizza for the family during a recent trip to the Outer Banks, and American Pie Drive In was a solid choice. The pizza was tasty, though a tad greasy, but still enjoyable. Their ice cream was a hit with the kids and quite delicious! The place impressed us with its cleanliness, and the staff were friendly and efficient, serving our order in good time. Overall, a nice spot for a quick family meal. Would recommend!

We ate cheese pizza, fried popcorn shrimp dinner and everything was delicious! Service was great and our waitress treated us very well!
Their ice cream is also very good. Definitely a repeat for when we make the trip from Pennsylvania again!

The pizza, subs, chicken tenders are amazing. Was better than the best pizza places in PA. 100% would recommend to anyone that visits OBX.

The place is clean, the food is excellent and the staff is both efficient and friendly.
Parking: We happened to come when a large group was there and parking was a bit tight. But I have noticed in driving bythat there is normally ample parking,
American Pie offers solid pizza, as well as a great selection of home-made ice creams. The Margherita Pizza (their own spin on the classic pizza) doesn't disappoint.

The pizza is ok here. But what stood out was how they use really unsustainable materials— plastic utensils, styrofoam, etc. Very old school, and not in a good way.
