I had diarrhea all the next day after eating here. Will not be going back or recommending.

We've been to every Captain George's location and this one in OBX always stands out. If you love crab legs then this buffet is a no brainer but they are that and so much more. Definitely recommend!

Went to OuterBanks location. The buffet is not inexpensive but I don’t mind if food is good.
The food was mostly mildly warm and bland tasting like public school cafeterias. Servers were polite but not overly friendly.
Would not go again!

The food is very good. My favorotive was the crab imperial and the chocolate pudding. The service is really good. The temperature of a lot of the dishes could be better.

Captain George’s is a seafood lover’s dream. The buffet is fresh, well-stocked, and has an incredible variety—from perfectly seasoned shrimp and scallops to piles of hot crab legs that keep coming. The staff is attentive, friendly, and quick to clear plates so you can make another round. The atmosphere feels warm and lively, and it’s a great spot whether you’re with family or celebrating something special.
Fair warning: the dessert bar is so good you might need a second stomach—guess that’s why they call it all you can eat!

Good enough seafood. Waitstaff was polite, courteous, and helpful...minus a slight language barrier. Clams have been switched to a super tiny varient. She crab soup is pretty good. Highlight of the whole buffet is crab legs. They're large and easy to get to the meat. When it's busy, it's a PITA to get to the buffet, especially if there are a bunch of ignorant people that have no idea of manners. I would like a better selection of old fashions like they had last year (2024).

Being from Colorado we do not have abundant access to seafood. Captain George’s cured all of that! Excellent
