Chilli Peppers Coastal Grill

Had a not so pleasant experience this past Wednesday. What we thought was a normal afternoon lunch meet up, was actually a Tito’s drunk fest for many patrons of this establishment. Our group was placed in the back area, service was trash. Waitress was not attentive. Misprinting on the menus. Experienced sickness from all 3 parties within 2 hours of leaving this establishment. Do not eat here or be very cautious of how your food is prepared!

This wasn't our first time, nor will it be the last. We love this restaurant. The food is great, the servers are fast, the atmosphere is amazing. The clam chowder is the absolute best.

Parking: If the front is full, use the side next to the outside area.

Awesome food. The fried shrimp dinner and salad were delicious. Fresh food. Our waitress, Sam, catered to our every need with a smile and great attitude. She knew what we wanted and delivered without being asked. I highly recommend Chili Peppers!

Tried the stuffed jalapeños with bacon and the chicken fajitas. Both were amazing. The flavor and the heat of the stuffed jalapeños were great. The portions of toppings for the fajitas ie. cheese, sour cream, rice, lettuce were generous. Can’t wait to go back!

Chili Peppers - had a good experience previously for dinner so we thought we'd give it a try for breakfast. I think we will stick to dinner. We were excited to try the coffee because it's from a local coffee shop, however; we were unfortunately disappointed. The coffee had a lemony-citrus flavor. I don't personally think citrus and coffee go together, so that was not pleasant. Maybe that affected our future thoughts, but the rest of the meal was "okay". Our server was very good though! Again, we will personally stick to dinner at this restaurant.

Above average, for sure! The cuisine was full of flavors. Very generous portion sizes. This is not a typical tourist Mexican restaurant, just so you know. This is a locals spot. It has a great old school OBX nostalgia feel inside. Enthusiastic servers. Good price point on the whole menu selection. Get there early!

Tasty! Chicken on the chicken sandwich was thin though, like they filleted a breast for it, my husband was expecting a whole chicken breast piece on the sandwich..... perhaps it's just the differences in expectations. Coconut shrimp was very good and crunchy, the sauce could be better. I think it's just store bought sweet chili sauce. The smash burger tacos were VERY delicious! Wanted to eat outside but it was closed.....
