I enjoyed the most tender and absolute best chicken Parmesan I’ve ever eaten tonight! I’ll be back the next time I’m in town! Good job JR!!
Cockroaches and mice everywhere in the dining area. You can literally hear the mice squeaking on glue traps underneath the booths. The owner allows the local drunk bar patrons to swing fly swatters around at flies while customers are literally eating at the bar and she encourages it. Maybe 3 workers total care about the quality of the job they do. Food is mediocre at best. Price point is truly the only thing they have going for them. Overall they should truly be ashamed but it’s just about putting on an act and collecting your money
The wife had the prime rib, and I had the flounder on Friday night. We also had the bananas foster cheesecake for dessert, and it was the best meal we had all week in the OBX. Our waitress Kathy was the absolute best and just the sweetest. I also had the fried shrimp dinner earlier in the week, and it was the best I've ever had!!!
Amazing service …. NASCAR Sunday!! Crab dip is amazing, highly recommend getting it!!
Dinner with 3 adults and 2 kids. Very generous portions, delicious food, and the best service from all staff, especially our server, Sharon.
The decor is quirky, but the kids loved it and the atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly.
The she-crab soup was incredible; loved the seafood lasagna, and the seafood spinach gorgonzola was definitely worth a return trip. This was the best meal of our trip to the OBX and the Jolly Roger has cemented it's place on our "favorites list". We'll be back!!

We had a great time. Last minute Thanksgiving dinner. Our waitress was so incredibly nice and helpful. Next time we're in town, we will be back. I loved the atmosphere. They make some of the best wings.

Not loving the vibe. Imagine a gymnasium with tables full of family reunions. You can't hear music over the picnic table noise.

The Jolly Roger in Kill Devil Hills exceeded all expectations for Thanksgiving dinner! The turkey was perfectly roasted, the stuffing was flavorful, and the sides like mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and sweet potatoes were absolutely delicious. The meal felt homemade and comforting, and the portions were generous.
The restaurant’s cozy and festive atmosphere added to the holiday spirit, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our evening. Many thanks to Cathy for being great!
If you’re in the Outer Banks for Thanksgiving, I highly recommend dining at the Jolly Roger. It’s a perfect blend of great food, warm service, and a welcoming ambiance. We’ll definitely be back!
