Chicken wings and fish and chips were good but the drinks were shockingly weak. Disappointed.
Visiting from NY this was one of the only places that didn't feel like a tourist trap. Reasonably priced menu with quality to go with it. The staff was amazing! Very well coordinated and quick with everything from drink refills to food service, its was impressive to watch and they were all lovely people Shoutout to Kaitlin (if I spelled it right lol) Very clean restaurant with everything from the condition of the tables and chairs to the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Great atmosphere you don't really see or expect from a place like this. Highly recommend. Keep up the great work guys! ?

I was surprised by the variety of food served at their HUGE buffet. They offered “all you can eat” for $45 and it would have likely been a bargain for a hungry diner. I was not that hungry so I settled for a side salad ($7) and shared a pound of peel and eat shrimp that were deveined, steamed and seasoned ($25). The facility was the largest eating establishment I have been to in recent memory. They can move a lot of people quickly, can accommodate large groups and keep fresh food on their buffet. I was impressed with their operation and very impressed with our server that did a great job keeping the water glass full.
This place has a TON of delicious seafood. All you can eat right at $50 a person. There were multiple kinds of crab legs, shrimp, fish, oysters, clams…anything you can think of, plus non-seafood dishes, salad and desserts. Bring your appetite! Nothing we ate was bad. We got on the waitlist and we’re told 30-45 minutes but it was actually less than 20. It’s VERY crowded inside. The only downside was our waitress. She brought our drinks and we never saw her again. Well, not at OUR table. We were pretty well ignored by her. I had to flag down another server to get a drink refill. Someone else came by and changed out our “discard” bowl (where you put shells, etc). The only other time she came to our table was to bring the check. So our service was not great, but the food was! I would definitely return, just hopefully with a different server.
Delicious seafood to-go during a busy week! The salmon was a great portion (the rice was bland though), the scallops, peel and eat shrimp, crab dip, and shrimp pasta were all delicious! You could tell it was fresh and even though we ordered to-go, everything still tasted delicious! Great job to the staff!
We should have decided against dining here once we saw that a buffet was being served. My wife and I hardly ever dine at such places. Further,I wished we had known the price of the buffet before we were seated. To our dismay, the buffet was priced at $49.99 per person. There was no way we could eat enough to justify this price. We ended up ordering from the menu of appetizers. The she crab soup, on a scale of 1 to 10, was a solid 4. The fried oysters were good but the accompanying french fries were cold and soggy. My wife had the salmon salad which was fair however the salmon was good. With two ice teas, our bill excluding a tip was $56.01. At this price I believe there are other places that could run circles around Captain George's.
Food was very good. Food bins were quickly replaced for freshness. Price was well worth what you get. Service is absolutely superb. Desserts were all delicious. We were undecided on where to go but we made the right choice by choosing Captain George’s. Went at 4pm for opening and had a 35 minute wait that was more like 15 minutes for party of 7.
Great atmosphere. Delicious food. So many varieties of seafood, salad, desserts. I was so full when I left.
Been to Captain George’s Myrtle Beach before so we had high expectations the experience would be just as good, it was NOT. The quality and taste of the food was sub-par at best. The crab legs were average, the shrimp was mushy, the fried scallops were decent, the stuffed clams were “tin” shells with fake crab meat mixture. The desserts were dry. We had a good waitress who refilled our drinks. For the $50+ buffet price, I wished we would have went somewhere else. Very disappointed.

Went for working women's Wednesday, which is a nice event. The lady hosting, Lori, from East Carolina radio, did a wonderful job, Such a nice bubbly personality! They offer free appetizers, drink specials, free local giveaways, and acoustic entertainment. The food was good, will definitely return.
This place is amazing. It has amazing food and super good service who are so nice. They have tvs at each table which is amazing.
Excellent service good food and great atmosphere
Told us the TV's didn't work when they actually did and turned on right as we were leaving. Thank you for making my toddler mom life harder instead of actually looking to see if they worked.
We normally don’t do buffet; this on is great. Large variety of shellfish and crab legs with the added bonus of fried chicken, ribs, brisket. Sides include Mac N cheese, greens, mashed potatoes and a ton of deserts
