Owner fights people on google and can’t take an honest opinion from people who have eaten their food. Fights to have reviews taken down. It’s tough being so soft, and it’s also tough being one of your bagels.

When the bagels are fresh they are really good. But getting a fresh bagel is rare.
Edited to respond: based on your reply, I beg to differ. I almost broke a knife this morning trying to cut into our 6 bagels. I find it hard to believe a fresh bagel would be that hard to cut into. I have had your fresh bagels before and they were really good and did not almost break a knife.

Bland fresh bagels… Not very impressed, all the bagels we got were pretty bland

Amazing, fresh baked bagels! They've got a great selection of flavored cream cheese, too. And they have Taylor ham! I had a cheese bagel with Taylor ham, egg, and cheese with a little scallion cream cheese. Absolute heaven. Oh, don't forget to get an iced coffee! I wish I could eat there every day!

Breakfast sandwiches were good but ingredients seemed premade. Nice service and quick.
Slow and food not tasty. Nothing like the food in the NY metro area.

N.Y. Bagels is a gem in the Outer Banks! Their bagels are fresh, chewy, and delicious—exactly what you’d expect from a New York-style bagel shop.
The variety of spreads and sandwich options are impressive, and the coffee is just as good.
It’s the perfect place to grab breakfast or a quick bite before heading out for the day.

A New Yorker suggested we come here and it did NOT disappoint! Everything was delicious and my Norwegian bagel sandwich was one of the best I’ve had. This is a new favorite we are putting in our rotation. Staff was super sweet, helpful and quick.

Amazing bagels! Great staff! I got the egg everything bagel toasted with cream cheese. Delicious! Cost me 6 bucks with a large coffee, not bad price! Wait was fine, not a long line.

For constructive criticism only, I don't quite understand how a good bagel place runs out of bagels at 8:33 AM on a Tuesday, especially when they have a bit of a hold on the market here. Publix and Food Lion know nothing about "fresh" bagels though Publix claims to have Einstein ones - they were stale, close to rock status, possibly made by Albert back in the day.
I hail from New Jersey which has no lack of great, fresh, reasonably priced bagels including a NY store. I have seen hole-in-the-wall stores put up countless great bagels. Sure, on occasion, they might temporary run out of a specific type but having only 8 bagels in the early morning from a store that basically sells only bagels, that makes.no sense to me.
It wasn't as if a million people were in the store. I was 1 of 3 in line. I couldn't wait for the next batch of unnamed types of bagels coming out in 15-20 minutes.
Finally, I have no intention of paying the $5 fine for "whining"; I assume you sign was meant to be funny.
I can't rate the bagels as I did not buy one but the overall experience was not good.
My dad used to own this 1990 now everything is junk or no good
