“We are a family from Asia who needed one meal with Asian flavors during our annual OBX visit this week. This is our first time ordering Chinese food here and found this place among three restaurants on Google offering Chinese cuisine. While the Google reviews and ratings were comparable, we eventually decided to order here based on reviews by locals. The feedback was spot on. The food was quite good, flavorful and a good amount. We ordered four lunch specials consisting of beef broccoli, pork egg foo young, General Tso’s chicken and pork lo mein. Costing only $10.99 each, the entree came with fried rice and an eggroll. Although we’re used to Chinese food from urban centers, this place serve more than decent food. My favorite was the beef broccoli which was lighter (less soy sauce) but had a rich sauce, crisp vegetable and tender beef slices. The family enjoyed the lo mein as well, good flavor and color, good quality. The General Tso’s chicken still had a crispy texture and not overwhelmed by sweet sauce. The eggrolls were crunchy and well seasoned. Sure, this isn’t a high end place but for a beach resort a little farther away from the city, it gave us the flavors we needed and were happy with the amount and quality.“
